Owner description: Sea Shell City has been open since 1979, we open with the idea of giving a glimpse of the treasures of the sea to all our visitor . We sell all kind of shell from all over the world, beach clothes and jewerly. On our second floor we have a fountain completly covered with sea shells which took 2 years to the artists to complete it, on that same floor we have a display of our personal sea shell collection.

This is a must see because it is like stepping back in time to those old tourist spots along the highways. Outside there is a bench with two very big clam shells mounted on it for a photo op. Somebody sits between the shells and it appears that they have wings. We take angel pictures every year. Inside is the most extensive collection of shells for exhibit and purchase. The mosaics made with shells are quite impressive. It is amazing all the different things that can be made with seashells. Tacky, but fun.

Sea Shell City is a great place to find souvenirs. They sell shirts, jewelry, wall art, and of course sea shells and huge beautiful corals. Everything can be shipped for a price. They also have a fountain and a museum upstairs. They have a great variety of items for sale. They have been open for more than 30 years. I have pictures in front of the store when I was a child. Sea Shell City is also conveniently located in "La Zona Dorada" amongst other very great stores that sell silver jewelry, leather crafts, and art. A great area to shop, eat. And did I mention it's walking distance from the beach. GPS: N 23° 14' 33.2118" W 106° 27' 7.9122"

I guess if you're an exotic shell fanatic you might make a special effort to go here, otherwise it's an ok place that if you happen to be nearby it's worth a stop.
