“Gritty local market”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

We were there late in the day, and like the title says it was a gritty local market. What was probably an open air market is now packed into a city block sized building. The interior is focused on the locals, with butchers and specialty stores. The exterior more towards tourists and passersby.

“Plaza Machado is an excellent place to spend a few hours”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

The whole area should be a "Must visit" while in Mazatlan. There is something for everyone. Lots of excellent traditional restaurants,a bandstand with live music, scenery, little shops&gardens and it includes the Angela Theatre. There are garden areas to visit and small arts and crafts for sale.
