Super fun! Restaurants are good and shopping is all over. Best to go on Friday or Saturdays. Enrike from El CID hotel took us here.

“A Well Kept Secret on the Plaza.........”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

One of the best places we had dinner was on the Plaza Machado at the VIntage Retro Bar & Cafe
which seems to have flown under the radar screen of Trip Advisor. It is located at the other end of the block from Pedro y Lola. They serve this 100 Anos Steak FiIlet which all five of us ordered and we cleaned our plates. This entree consists of a Steak on top of a Poblano Chile in the middle of a pool of Ancho chile sauce. Next time we go-- I want to go into the kitchen and see how chef cooks this wondrous menu item. We drove down to Centro Historico just to taste this legendary dish.

Calm and peaceful after the congestion at the Mercado and plaza by the Cathedral. Pleasant restaurants. Pedro y Lola's is an upscale "locals" restaurant.

“the heart of Mazatlan”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Plazuela Machado is surrounded by restaurants, has entertainment either outside or in one of the venues most nights, has a weekend evening craft market on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and is a great place to sit and people watch.
