We just stopped by to see what it looked like as there were no performances going on at the time. We got to see the students practicing from the Theater Arts High School....and they were very good! I would love to see a full performance here someday!

This theatre is a true gem. The acoustics are remarkable, the decor is very fine and the presentations we have attended are also wonderful. What a remarkable venue in a "vacation city" in Mexico. We love it. Have been to a couple of the January Sunday noon concerts, including the Mozart "Requiem" and they were very well presented. The choir and soloists, in particular for the Requiem were excellent. What energetic, vital singing. This is a must see for the 15 peso tour but even more of a must see if you can make one of the concerts being presented in the beautiful theatre. Bravo Mazatlan for the renovation of this beautiful gem. It is a historic building so remeniscent of many towns in Italy, Spain and France.

We have visited this theatre many times - it is definitely worth the minimal entry fee! A couple of times, we have been fortunate to watch the students from the nearby art/drama school practice which was amazing! There is usually a lovely art show upstairs and downstairs and they have made lovely progress with the restorations of the building. A real must do in Maz!

We go to any performance offered here when we are in Mazatlan! The acoustics are amazing and the performances outstanding! And, the audience is quiet - have yet to hear a cell phone! Prices are very reasonable for orchestra seating, so go!
