Do not waste your time or your money . Too expensive to see nothing, really nothing. The walk there is fine and it was fun to walk through the area but the place was under construction I hope it will be better

The aquarium was more of a mixture of a mini-zoo and mini-aquarium. In all honesty, it was nothing special. Not really worth the time or money if you've been to any of the aquariums in either the US or Canada.

We took our three kids (ages 12, 10 and 10) to this aquarium. We weren't able to see the seal show, but we did enjoy looking at all the fish and seeing the skeletons of the whale and some other animals. Unfortunately, my kids (and I) were quite saddened by the small enclosures for the animals in the "zoo" section. The foxes, hawk, coyote and tiger all looked stressed or depressed, more of an animal prison, than a zoo. Sorry, but if you love critters, avoid the "zoo" portion.

We try to do 1 or 2 different things every year when we visit Mazatlan. My wife suggested the aquarium last year and it was really a hit. The seal show was in Spanish, but it was adorable. The swimming with the sharks was kind of lame, but we enjoyed our time there. I wouldn't call it a must, but it's worth the time and is affordable.

We took a Pulmonia from Golden Zone to Aquarium, so go to enjoy the ride along with seeing some sites. In the past we took our car so this was different. They have done a lot of renovations and construction continues. Much improved. Smaller aquarium but still fun with over 250 species of fish, 95 pesos for adults includes everything, so you could spend a whole day or just a couple hours as we did. If we had children with us may have spent longer. There is a sea lion show, birds, reptiles, hundreds of species of fish and a botanical garden. The shows are all in Spanish but still very entertaining. The sea lion show fills up quickly and unless you wish to get wet, do not sit too close to front. There is a lot of shaded areas but it can still be hot, esp in the shows when it is crowded. Best to go during week as opposed to weekends when more busy. You can buy snacks, sandwiches and drinks inside. We find this a very inexpensive attraction with lots of improvements, looking forward to seeing more next year.
