I drove here, you go down the airport road and turn right a few ks down. it was a great adventure, and a made great use of our rental car. you really feel like a world apart here, but its not cheap, esp for hotels. but it was a fantastic visit.

Take a ferry boat (cheap, small & leave as soon as they have customers). Many restaurants on the island with chairs and coverage from the sun. Water is shallow for quite a distance from shore but waves are strong so keep little ones close.

Definitely take one of the trips to Stone Island. Our hotel beach had very strong surf, so Stone Island was a great day trip to go enjoy the ocean. The island is sheltered with very easy surf, allowing one to enjoy swimming in the blue Pacific.

Stone isle was a nice few hours to spend to see a different part of Mazatlan. We ate lunch that was provided at the beach. It was such a pretty stretch of land that was not occupied. The lunch could have been better but the open bar made up for it

It is quiet, peaceful. The sands are white and the beach clean. The water is very vivid blue. You can walk along and search for silver (sea) dollars. Great trip. Better to go on the Jungle tour to go there instead of the stone island tour as then you avoid the drunks
