“Sand and sun”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

In relation to where we stayed in the Cerritos area this offered more of the same which was sand and sun. There was horse back riding and 4 wheeling but this was of no interest. We ate at Ledy's and enjoyed a fairly good lunch. Take the water taxi from the pier as it was only a couple of $ for the 2 of us.

“Quiet on a Monday, Beach Bliss!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Finally a long beach with gentle waves to frolic in! Had a lovely lunch at Carmalita's, in business since 1938! Lovely padded beach chairs to sit on the beach.
A five minute ride across in a small boat for 25 pesos return.
We loved our afternoon on Isla de las Piedras.

“Quieter than in previous years”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Stone Island seems to have suffered from the economic woes that trouble everyone else. Half the restaurants have shut down and there are a lot fewer vendors. The water taxis run half full and the walk along the beach is quieter. However, it was always a quiet, idyllic place, and the restaurants that are left offer plenty of choices. It's a wonderful place to just walk along the beach and enjoy.

“Great Day and Best Flan!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

I would give Stone Island 4 stars but would give Restaurant Pilis 5 stars for their Flan. It is a must if you visit Stone Island. The chef was actually serving the flan to customers and sharing the secrets of his recipe....a real friendly guy and a great chef. Regardless of where you sit for the day make sure you take a stroll and get some Flan from Restaurant Pilis before you leave. Not only will you not regret it but you will dream of more Flan as soon as you leave Stone Island.

“Excellent trip to take”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Loved the trip on the catamaran over to Stone Island. Great music - Louise our bartender and Roberto our captain were great hosts.
