Our family visited last Christmas and the place was maybe 50% full. It was super to arrive at 10 am and receive our room keys! Don't let any overly critical reviews prevent you from choosing this fine hotel if you want to see Mazatlan. Personally I preferred the Riu Jalisco in Puerto Vallarta the previous Christmas. It was warmer weather and with more activities. Food was same at both -excellent. Walking up El Farro was a highlight. Tip: don't pay extra for an ocean view-all rooms have them! Enjoy!
