“Ziplining & tequila tour!”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Very much an excursion worth partaking in!

One of my friends had called Huana Coa prior to our arrival and arranged for a group rate (there were 6 of us) - otherwise, it will set you back about $70 for the zip line and tour of the Los Osuna factory (including transportation and free shots at the end of the agave tour!)

Located about 40 minutes from the Golden Zone (where we were picked up in an air conditioned vehicle) the Huana Coa Canopy Adventure set in the Sierra Madre hills on the same plot of land as the Los Osuna Agave Plantation.

Seeing as I am terrified of heights - I was pretty nervous going in.. I am pretty sure I also forgot the entire safety lesson the second I stepped onto the first platform of 12 for the 9 zip lines. However, the staff are AMAZING as they really put you at ease and help you out along the way! They were all very professional, mindful of safety at ALL times, but also kept the group laughing the entire time.

The zip lining starts with the groups being fitted into harnesses, gloves and helmets (a larger member of our group was given special equipment able to handle the extra weight) as mentioned, following the fittings a safety lesson & tutorial of how to hold the ropes and the hand signals you and the staff will be using was given.. then we were on our way!

Though I was physically shaking the first line, by the end I no longer had any fear and genuinely was having a blast! I never once felt unsafe.

The entire experience took about 4 hours - so make sure you set aside a good chunk of time.

* Eat prior or bring a snack! There was an empty vending machine on the property, otherwise there is nothing to eat other than the one piece of fruit they give you at the end of the tour. It makes for a long day with no food - ESPECIALLY if you go for the tequila tour after!
* Bring a camera! We brought one and tucked it into a pocket that could be zipped up to keep it safe. We were able to take some great photos of the group!
* Wear proper clothing - this may sound silly - but we saw people in flip flops - not exactly great for zipping 50 feet above the ground! It's very dusty here - be prepared to get a little dirty as you will also get quite sweaty!
* There is an age limit and weight limit of 275lbs.

“Tequilla Zip”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We had a group of 15 go many who had been the year before but seveal first timers also. A couple of anxious moments for some who were nervous to begin with, but by the tours end everyone was enjoying themselves! After the zipline there is a tequilla plant tour, with free shots! 2nd year in a row, and will probably hit it again next year, especially if we have some more newbies with us.

“Great fun great staff”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Zip lining was extremely fun. I am a thrill seeker (skydiving etc) so it wasn't the scare factor but it was a great experience. The staff was awesome and exactly what I look for in a vacation excursion. They were knowledgable, safe and would joke with everyone like they were part of the excursion group. Highly recommend. You pay for your zip line and tequila tour ( in our case) and they were happy to provide complimentary bottled water and gave organic bananas after adventure. They didn't try and nickel and dime their customers which was appreciated.

“Tequilla tour”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We visited here for the tequilla tour. The guide was very friendly and made the tour interesting. When drinking tequilla just remember 'its not the sky that is the limit....it is the floor!' As the tour is free it is advisable that you tip the tour guide...or buy a bottle of tequilla! :-)
