My wife and I stopped in to Panama a couple times during our week in Maz and their pastries were amazing. We also grabbed a couple breakfasts croissants one night because we were short for time the next morning and wanted a little something for breakfast. Way better than your average microwaveable breakfast croissant! The only disappointing thing we had was the guava (or guayaba) pie which we had really looked forward to after hearing about it online. It featured chunks of guava on top but was no better than your average cream pie just with a different fruit on top. It wasn't until after that we saw the guava cake which looked so much better. We grabbed cake from the coolers but wanted to sit in the relatively empty dining area to eat it which led to some issues with the Spanish speaking wait staff. You're much better off getting pastries, pies, or cakes to go rather than trying to sit down. Overall, they have some delicious pastry offerings that are definitely worth calories!
