“Loved it all, outstanding Inn, location and hosts”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the Mazatlan Ocean Front Inn. Jim and Candace were the most gracious hosts, and we felt completely at home and relaxed in their beautiful bed and breakfast. The views of the malecon and the Pacific Ocean were awesome, especially the sunsets from the deck. The location was great too. We were just a short walk away from the central historic district, and the beautifully restored Plaza Machado. We spent a few nights there, both eating at the fantastic restaurants, or just people watching the great mix of local families and tourists there every night. We were also just a few blocks away from a great spa for massages. Candace and Jim were also able to recommend some very good, inexpensive restaurants on Olas Altas beach. You can't beat the mango shrimp or poblano stuffed chicken at the Cueva Del Leon.

Just a quick word about safety in Mazatlan. We thoroughly enjoy Mexican culture, and try to immerse ourselves amongst the locals as much as possible. We walked into the historic district almost every day, many times walking back at night. We also walked north along the malecon a few miles one night to see a fireworks display; walking with all local families, and never once felt anything less than completely comfortable and safe.

Overall, we had one of our best experiences ever in Mexico, and it wouldn't have been the same without our stay at the Mazatlan Ocean Front Inn. In addition to everything you could expect from the experience of staying at the Inn, Candace and Jim were invaluable as guides of where to go and what to see during our stay. We intend to make a stop at the Inn a part of all of our future trips to Mazatlan.

I'm going to echo what so many others have to say about staying at Candace and Jim's B&B - but it bears repeating: Their detailed knowledge of the city and incredible hospitality (and over-and-above patience with rambunctious 5-year-olds) let us experience Mazatlan in a way we never would have if we'd stayed on the resort/touristy end of town.

When we wanted some authentic local experiences and artisan shops, we were in walking distance of the gorgeous old part of town; when we were ready to hit the wilder end of town (including getting a LARGE group of people to a wedding with very little time), Jim and Candace helped us pull it all together without a hitch. Every recommendation was spot-on, and the accommodations were absolutely lovely. Having three beaches in walking distance certainly didn't hurt either.

Mazatlan Ocean Front Inn is incredible! I had never been to Mexico before this trip with my girlfriends and now I am looking forward to returning and staying at the Bed and Breakfast again!! A definite location to stay at while in Mazatlan; watch the beautiful sunsets, enjoy nice walks along the ocean front, easy walk to the historical district, and superb service. The Inn is super clean and the owners are the best! What a fabulous experience! Enjoy your visit there!

My husband and I just got back from Mazatlan and had an amazing trip. Jim and Candace's B&B has the perfect view and they were wonderful at helping us experience Mazatlan to the fullest. We definately plan on visiting again and I fully recommend anyone going to Mazatlan to stay here.

AMAZING! The location of the inn is possibly the best in the whole of Mexico, the sunsets are beyond description. Candace & Jim are incredible hosts who truly share their love of Mazatlan and the area with their guests. We walked all over the city, day and night, and never once left unsafe. I was there for part of the vacation before my friends arrived and I walked everywhere alone. The cliff divers are nearby, a short and fabulous walk to the historical district with incredible sites, smells, and culture all along the way. The people of Mazatlan are friendly and treated us exceptionally well. We played hard and then slept like babies with the sound of the ocean as a background in beautifully decorated rooms. Everything is simply top notch. Staying at the inn is like going home, we had full access to a great kitchen, bbq'd shrimp on the grill, sampled tequila of the region which the hosts recommended, enjoyed a daily Pacifico while reading and cooling off in the pool. Calendar is out and next trip is in the makings!

I stayed with my friend for 8 days.
We had no idea about Mazatlan before we stayed with them.
They gave us a lot of advice where to go, where to eat, safety tips, how to get good deals which made our trip safe and fun.
Breakfast was awesome!!! We had lots of fruits, waffles, muffins, bagels with tasty Mexican coffee and juice! I really enjoyed quiche that Candace made.
We went for drinks and dinner together and that made us feel special.

We are so satisfied with their service and facilities! We got more than we expected!!
Without their help, we wouldn' t be able to have such a wonderful precious experience.
I already recommended this B&B to all my friends and co-workers!
Love Ocean Front Inn!!

We rented all 6 rooms as we traveled as a group of 16. Candace (Jim was traveling) was great at making sure we had what we needed. She would recommend places to eat, things to do, and arranged transportion if needed. The spa she recommended was wonderful. We will always remember Mazatlan for the $15 USD massages!!!
Candace is truly a hostess w/the mostest! We never once felt unsafe, the location was great. Thanks for all you did Candace, we were able to create memories as a family that will last forever!
