Owner description: A spectacular golf course set in sand dunes overlooking the ocean.

This course is rather challenging to the new golfer (us), so we opted for instruction from pro, Gabriel, who gave us invaluable advice. He was most generous with his time and, thankfully, very patient with our beginners' awkwardness.

This 27 hole golf course by the ocean offers splendid views and a challenging layout. Green fees on Tuesdays are half price and run about $80 for 18 holes. Take along caddy if you want to score well. If you are a senior, try the yellow tees. Good greens and well kept fairways. For the pice this is to be expected.

The road into to the site is terrible ......full of pot holes. Drive carefully!

Drove up from Manzanillo and turned left to Isla Navidad. My family went to Barra de Navidad for beach and shopping and next time I would simply go with them and take the water taxi to the Isla Navidad hotel for 30 pesos. I had no idea that the hotel was such a short distance across the lagoon in Barra.
The course was so much better than the one at Las Hadas and the views of the ocean beach were spectacular. If you are playing 18 holes then the Ocean and Mountain nines are the ones to choose out of the 27 holes.
Ask for a deal on the price as you should be able to pay less than the rack rate. We were playing in the morning and were quoted $157 and settled for $110.

By far the best Mexican course ever played. Yellow tees very hard for 14 handicap and would recommend blue tees which are still very challenging. Play all 27 holes to get full experience. Mountain course is most picturesque. Internet negotiate price before going.

We were there 3 months after the October 2011 hurricane and the course was not completely restored and I believe three of the holes were out of order. We rented clubs which were far from good. Quite expensive greenfee and rental on top of the hotel. We will not return.
