I ended up in Manzanillo for one night. Needed 2 rooms for the number of people in our party. We were looking for an economical place near the beach. The Taxi driver recommended this place to us. We arrived around 10pm. Most in our party were American- Mexican and I assume he considered us locals. They do not take credit cards so we paid cash. 500 pesos per room. There was no water, ice or beverage machine available. We walked next door to Hotel Anita, which had a beverage machine and looked much nicer. Our rooms were adequate but no A/C, eventhough there was a unit on the wall. We did have TV and internet in the room. I was thankful for a hot shower. The bathroom was fine, clean. A bar of white soap and towels were the only room amenities. There is a swimming pool which the kids really liked the next day. There is a restaurant on site, where we had breakfast but there was only one worker so service was very slow. The bathroom off the kitchen area was one of the worst ever and I have seen many bad ones. Generally this hotel will serve the purpose of getting a good nights sleep. I slept with the window open for air and to hear the ocean but this is not a place I would go for any extended period of time or for the "being waited on" feeling. It was adequately clean except for that one public bathroom off the pool/kitchen area. There wer some local vendors who took in our group on a snorkel tour. They seemed to enjoy that.
