I stayed a weekend in August between two business trips at the Eden Costa. It has basic rooms and very friendly staff with a French proprietor. The location is very good as you can walk to the beach in ten minutes and reach two other beaches by taxi in five minutes. A supermarket is 3min walking distance as well.
Outstanding is the restaurant L'echalotte.
Chahue itself is a small village with a lot of small shops and markets. Here you find also small phone shops to make cheap overseas calls.
I'd recommend a boat tour. I could rent a boat for 700 Pesos for 3-4 hours and go to any of the wonderful bays to the west of Chahue snorkelling amid thousands of colorful fish.

A superb 5 star restaurant, a French proprietor and his charming and gracious mexicana wife and a very attentive staff make this "hotelito" and restaurant a very special place. We only stayed 3 nights while awaiting our household goods shipment from the States for our new vacation condo but we couldn't have picked a better place. We chose one of the kitchenette units poolside and each morning at dawn complimentary coffee, juices, milk, and pastries were offered. Very quiet and tranquil. The wireless internet was of great value to us as we had many banking and service contracts to establish. The Owners, Thierry and Tina were very kind and helpful in arranging for many necessary purchases and offering to accompany us to shops to help us purchase mattresses, curtains, etc. Their son, Alexander, is a law student and was often available in the afternoons to help us with many things and like his father, speaks english and french fluently. The restaurant is called La Eschalote and La Comida, the midday meal is served at 2 p.m. and dinner is served starting at 7 or so and busiest at around 8:30 to 9:00. This is true throughout Mexico. The entrees are world class and from across the globe with specialties of Thai, French, American, and Mexican cuisine.
Regardless of where you stay while in Huatulco, you must dine here at least once.
We look forward to our return.

Me and my gilfriend were traveling around the coast of oaxaca and we visited beautiful places around the beach but the best one is located at this little charming hotel where the people are very agreable and the hospitality is close to paradise. I really enjoyed to stay in Eden Costa because it is just a piece of heaven to experience holidays down there and also the food in the restaurant is delicious!
I hope to get there again to enjoy the best place ever in Huatulco Bays.

We have been traveling in Mexico and Central America for 2 months and I have to say that this hotel is our favorite. The staff was super pleasant and made us feel like we were home. The rates were very reasonable also. Our room was very comfortable with Sky TV, great wireless internet and air-conditioning.

The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk to beautiful Chahue Beach and the marina. We walked to the beach each morning to watch the sunrise then over to the marina to see if any of the yachts were heading out to sea.

The main town plaza of La Crucecita is a short, 20 peso taxi ride or a 20 minute walk. The town square is surrounded by the cathedral, restaurants and shops.

A local told us that the hotel's restaurant, L'echalote, is one of the finest in town and we have to agree. They have wide variety of cuisines and we had the special which was fresh Mahi-Mahi and vegetables. The chocolate mousse was excellent. If you don't stay at the hotel then you must eat at the restaurant. Any taxi driver knows the restaurant and will take you there.

We wish we could have this type of hotel in every Mexican city we visit.
