We had an amazing trip to Huatulco! The area and our accomodations exceeded our expectations. The condo was absolutely gorgeous and well appointed. The building was very secure and very clean. Classy place! We enjoyed being on the first floor as it was very convenient coming in and out. We wanted to be close to town so the location was perfect! Awesome grocery store is just a fove mintue walk from the condo. The pool area was gorgeous. The condo staff were very kind and helpful during our stay. The weather was beyond perfect. There are 36 beaches to choose from and we had our favorites for sue! If we return to Huatulco which is highly likely we will stay at Sueno drl Mar for sure!
I booked a condo in Huatulco for three of us travelling south from winter in Canada. I have only booked on-line this way maybe twice before and I was a bit concerned that all would go well. I need not have worried.
The photos and information looked very good on-line and we were pleasantly surprised that the condo unit was exactly as pictured. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and shown around the condo and the pool and public areas of the complex. Our unit was on the ground floor with easy access to the pool--which was cleaned and cared for daily by Bernardo and Santiago--with our own private seating area right outside the living area and the master bedroom.
The unit and the compound were clean and well managed, filtered drinking water was available whenever we requested it and there was recycling that we used (and were pleased to have!). Housekeeping came in once a week to perk things up but there was also a washer and dryer in the condo.
The kitchen was equipped but it was really too hot to use, although we made tea and coffee every morning, and there is also a communal barbecue available for use.
The town of La Crucecita is within walking distance the condo, but honestly, it's just too hot for that so we always took a taxi. Taxis will get you to the nearby beaches too and generally the fare to town and to the beaches is around 30-60 pesos.
There seems to be work going on on the beach behind Sueño del Mar and I will be interested to see what is there the next time I go. The beach, as it was when we were there in April, 2017 was too dangerous to swim in so we would taxi to other beaches close by.
There is a spa next door and I used it twice; I feel the treatments were very good and worth the pesos (10% discount if paying cash and staying in Sueño del Mar).
The short answer here to the question "would you stay there again?" : a resounding "yes!"
