“nice tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

This was a last minute decision , and enjoyed it thoroughly , i would suggest getting a tour guide(Marco) as we would have been lost without one, there is so much history that he explained to us , that it made the trip that more interesting . Make sure you take the trail up the hill to view the ocea, and have your camera, very beautiful.

“Needs more time to develop.”

Spent a morning here. A few interesting ruins have been uncovered. The trail to the ocean front is worth it. Spectacular view. Going the other way though is about a 15 minute hike with nothing at the end of it. Would suggest using a guide as the museum has no english at all.

“Take in a Little Culture on Your Beach Vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

The site is very well laid out, with bilingual signage. Especially for those who have at least some interest in pre-Hispanic cultures, it is a must. The signage explains the construction materials, in some cases distinct from those used to construct the sites in the state's central valleys. There are also well marked pathways up to pinnacles providing exquisite vistas of the ocean below. There are also explanations of the flora and fauna of the region on the signs. A vist provides a great little break from the usual tourist attractions in and around Huatulco. The museum contains some exquisite archaelogical pieces.

“Great”

A very attractive area preserved in a natural state. Imagine seeing nature preserved and feeling more knowledgible about the first humans in this part of Mexico. Close to seeing, hearing and smelling what people in the past did.

“Pretty cool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

It is a neat site to check out. My only complaint is that the room with all the artifacts all of the information was in Spanish. So if you only speak English you might want to pay extra for the guided tour. The ruins have both English and Spanish on the placards. It was 10 dollars per person and if you wanted the guided tour it was 30. There are beautiful viewpoints you can walk to, they are a must see. Make sure you bring a beverage along as it is an uphill path to the viewpoints and it is of course pretty warm. The paths are treed in and there are many cute little geckos to be seen along the way.
