we went to this hotel, mostly because we are gold crown club members, to check it out and ask their walk up rates. Wow!, were we delighted with the rate we were offered! To make things even better, the very clean and large, comfortable room had a large patio, with comfy furniture. The staff were all super freindly, and were a great help for any needs. You could tell that management had done a great job in their staff selection and training.Pool was really nice, as was the entire property. Fitness centre had nice equipment, all new. Location of the hotel was also a plus, 15 minute walk to downtown La Crucesita, and only 5 min. to Chahue beach and marina. What a great find! Thanks to Antonio at the front desk especially.

My brother and I spent 8 nights, late July- early August 2010, and found the hotel very clean and comfortable. The staff is the best that you could find anywhere. The staff works as a team and helped us in many ways. Would certainly stay there again.

To Whom It May Concern ,

I stayed here for a total of 4 nights with my girlfriend , and we were extremely happy with our experience at this hotel . The management at reception were extremely helpful and friendly . Also in regards to room service, all hotel staff were friendly and very helpful with all our requests , and our room was kept tidy and spotless . The room itself was one of the better rooms i have stayed in . Its not a 5 star hotel , but if you are looking for great staff , and a very nice hotel than I think you would be happy here . Overall we were very happy with all management , service and workers at this hotel, and will recommend to any friends or family etc that are visiting Huatulco, and also if we return , this is where we will stay.

We stayed at the Posada Chahue from June 18-25. We arrived well before check-in and were brought to our room immediately. We had requested a non-smoking room; they are on the first floor. Unfortunately, none of the first floor rooms have any kind of windows so we requested to be moved to an upper level floor with a balcony. While they were getting a room ready for us, we ate lunch in the vegetarian restaurant -- we had a very good mushroom sandwich. Within 30 minutes our new room was ready on the second floor. It was a smoking room but after the second day, we couldn't smell the smoke anymore. The rooms are quite bright with lime green accents, ample closet space and dressers. The floors are all tile as is the shower. The shower looked very new. Water pressuire was good and we never ran out of hot water. Beds were a little firm but not as bad as some Mexican hotels and we never had a problem sleeping. There is a flat screen TV mounted on the wall, a mini-bar, and safe. There also is an iron and ironing board and hair dryer in the room. Although we didn't use them, there also were small bottles of shampoo, lotion, etc. Our balcony was quite large with a small table and two chairs and a built-in bench seat against one wall. The patio door also had a screen on it if you wanted to leave the door open without letting bugs in. The air conditioner worked fine the whole time (and it was very hot/humid while we were there). The Super Che Supermarket is right next to the hotel if you want to stock up on snacks. There is a pool with a couple of lounge chairs but it is pretty small, perfect for kids which was usually who we saw in it. The hotel advertises free wi-fi but for those without a computer, there is one in the lobby for a very minimal fee (20 minutes for 10 pesos). The staff was always very courteous and friendly and the place was immaculate.

We walked every day into town for both breakfast and dinner;, not because the we didn't like the food at the hotel but because we wanted a different dining experience every day. Breakfast in town was always very cheap
(40-50 pesos for a full breakfast). It was fun to watch the town come to life and little kids walking to school in the morning. Both Santa Cruz and La Crucecita are only a 15 minute walk away but cabs to either are cheap (20 pesos). Although this hotel is not on the beach, the beach club at Playa Chahue is within walking distance (15 minutes). There is a pool there along with lounge chairs and a restaurant. The beach club on the right as you face the ocean is the free one. We took a cab every day and went to a different beach. They all are wonderful and each has a different vibe. Snorkeling equipment is cheap to rent at the beach (50 pesos); you can also get a guide for about 100 pesos. San Agustine Beach was the furthest beach and most expensive (200 pesos each way) but well-worth the trip. You can also go by boat. I would go back to Huatulco just to go to that beach. Also, I would suggest getting to Playa Conejos before the new Secret Resort is finished. Right now you will be sitting on a practically deserted beach.

This hotel was the perfect spot for us to start each day's adventures, whether on foot or by cab. I would not hesitate to go back to Posada Chahue.

Located about halfway between Santa Cruz and La Crucecita, a 10 minute walk in either direction, and a 2 minute walk to the Club de Playa, this was the perfect spot for our 8 night stay.
Our room was huge, comfortable and spotless clean. The beds were a little on the firm side but okay. The hotel restaurant quality was better than we expected for such a smallish hotel, it was very good.
The hotel pool is a little small, but that's what the Club de Playa is there for: big pool, and restaurant, right on the beach.

Just returned from a four night stay at the Best Western and was very pleased with the service and cleanliness! Everybody went out of their way to help you .Everything was within walking distance or an inexpensive cab ride. The rooms are quite large and the pool area is nicely landscaped and well maintained.

I made a reservation since Oct 2009 for staying in Dec 2009 at Best Western posada Chahue in Huatulco Mexico. I gave my credit card number for confirmation. When we arrived with my 70 year old mother, after 13 hours driving; The recepcionist told us that he just sold our reservation to another person, and didn't have available rooms, he didn't help us and just suggested us to look for a person that would like to rent us a room of his house, because Huatulco was full. He told us that the card did not pass. We asked him to pass the card. And guess what.. It passed. He had our phone number, and did not call. We talk to Best wester 1800 reservations and we were told that was not their problem, was hotel problem. We found a room in a particular house until 3 AM and we had to stay in that house room the rest of our stay. Best western never helped. Reservation center told us that we should ask a courtesy to the hotel in low season because that was an employee decision and not Best Western problem. We are really dissapointed about the lack of ethics and humanity. We had a similar case with another hotel chain some years ago but they helped us to find a better hotel that they paid, and were more human and considerate than Best Western chain. They just kicked us out to the street. I can't Imagine that this could happen to somebody from another country that does not speak spanish, their safety is on risk....
