Rudy, the owner, does a great job in making you feel welcomed in his very small 3 table restaurant while Cristina does her magic in the kitchen. I was amazed that Cristina remembered what I ate during my first visit when she asked upon my return, "Is that all you're eating? You ordered much more the last time!" She said this in Spanish of course but her attention to detail impressed me.
Rudy's restaurant is reflective of the unfortunate drop in tourism in Acapulco as he cut his restaurant size in half. But there is no denying the great price and service that cannot be equaled in this part of the tourist Golden Zone. There are many restaurant hawks on this corner looking for your business. Fruitiland is on the ground floor just a tad off of the Costera.
I never got a chance to sample Rudy's health conscious fruit drinks but my travel friends all raved about them.
Rudy is such a polite and humble man who speaks very good English. He is not interested tourist exploitation like others in any tourist destinations. He is truly interested in your well being as a person.
When in Acapulco you must go and say hello to Rudy and Christina. Hopefully you will arrive to find an empty table for yourself.

The shakes are great and priced right at 25 pesos. The breakfast menu while not extensive has very good Mexican specialties. Directly across and 1 storefront off the Costera from the Fiesta Americana.

This is not a fancy place with a view, however, if what you seek happens to be spectacular fresh fruit or veggie shakes in almost any combination imaginable, as well as good food at economical prices, look no further. Just a few steps off the costera: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2760588890103215655rlrYYU

This small restaurant sits just across the street from the Fiesta Americana on a side street about 15 feet off the costera. Around the corner from the old Carlos & Charlies and facing 100% natural.

The breakfasts are very good as I like their huevos especiale and I like it served very spicy which they will ask you ahead of time. It is served with tortillas or bread usually both for gringos lol and a small side of beans. Cost 45 pesos less then 4 USD and includes juice with that as well.

The best of what this place has to offer is the 20 different blended fruit drinks they make. I sampled 3 while I visited them on 4 different occasions and they were all delicious at the very least as good as anything 100% makes and a very large serving as well all for 25 pesos or about 2 USD. The drink itself would fill an average person up and it is very healthy and energizing.

The Energico was suggested to me by forum member Lacallie and I so far like it best. I know it has Banana, Strawberry, and Pinapple in it but I am missing 2 other fruits. Anyway the place is great and it is one of those places you may easily walk by so if you see it make the turn and go in you will not be disappointed.
