As Acapulco has more than 10 named beaches I would suggest you try to see them all .However i would recommend Caleta for families and adults alike

We love watching the people and having lunch there on one of the two little beaches. I have been there when it was so crowded you could hardly walk and other times when we are almost alone. The little restaurant there has good food and inside as well as beach dining. Spend the day. You won't be sorry.

While most of the old town has slid a bit from years of past neglect the beaches of Caleta especially still remain very popular with the locals and in thwe winter month those snowbirds from the U.S and Canada.

I found the water to be extremely clean this past February and you can see many fish swimming around and we we able to get a hold of 2 star fish that were close to us. The vendors here are usually inexpensive compared to the mid bay vendors and are less in your face it seems.

The restaurant La Cabana sits on this beach and is usually the spot in which we decide to stay for the afternoon...

Caleta is my favorite spot in Acapulco as there I get the real Mexican feeling, the people are genuine and the vendors don't bug you.
