This is a great place to mingle with the locals, and enjoy the food and sites. The people are kind, hard-working and helpful, and delighted to practice their English on the tourists.

This a very pleasant relaxing market in old downtown. Enjoy the authentic Mexican food, shop, or just sit down and enjoy the scenery and people.

With the old big trees as cornerstones, the shoeshine cubicles surrounding it, the beautiful and recently restored kiosk in the middle of it, and the local vendors selling arts, hand-made clothing and delicious Mexican snacks, this place is just like an old picture of Colonial Mexico.

It has an atmosphere of tranquility and quiet where you can easily sit and have a chat with a friend and enjoy some "Esquites" with chilli powder and real cheese while you dream away into the past !
