“Perfect - for privacy and relaxing”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

If you want something different than the typical hotel room in a highrise, this is for you. The rooms are one, two or three section bungalows with private patio's and pools. There is no reason to go further than a few feet from your room. The pools are decent sized with lounge chairs and tables.
Anything can be delivered with a simple phone call: ice, alcohol, food, towels, etc.
The actual rooms are situated up the side of a mountain - thank goodness for the pink jeeps - you don't want to be hiking that hill! The beach club is accessed via a shuttle from the main lobby. It has a great restaurant, a freshwater and saltwater pools.
Tours can be arranged from the Tour Desk in the main lobby.
The hotel has been around since the 1950's and even though the pink and white theme continues, it is starting to look a bit dated and worn around the edges.
Fresh rolls and coffee are delivered every morning to the "magic box" on the wall of your room. I suggest collecting them before any bugs come investigate. The room service food was excellent.

Room Tip: We had 429 and 430 and were very comfortable - pool area and back patio's did not look down into...

My wife and I stayed at one of the "casas" with private pool and jacuzzi at Las Brisas. It was such a good experience that we did't wanted to leave the casa. The hotel is a beautiful and it has a very good understanding of privacy. It's a great place for a honeymoon since the casas have a lot of space and you practically don't need to leave the casa for anything.
Another thing we enjoyed is that it has a vintage feeling to it, but with everything clean and working perfectly. It's a great place to disconnect and just have fun with you spouse.

Room Tip: The higher you go, the better the view will be. Also there are rooms that have a private pool and ja...

Las Brisas is a HUGE resort located on a hill in the south part of Acapulco. Is in between the old Acapulco and the Diamante zone.

Pros:
In our case, we reserved a Brisas Beach Club house. It had private pool and a big room. I don't know why it's called Beach Club, since the Beach is really far from the resort. To get to the beach , you call the front desk, they dispatch a Jeep and will take you there in a 10 min. ride.
There is absolute privacy, you won't hear your neighbors and you wont disturb them neither. The room is big, it has an lcd tv of decent size. In our case they welcomed us with a bottle of wine and some appetizers.
The hotel is old, it is probably 30-40 years old but very well maintained.

Cons:
I reserved using a website and the rate was in dollars. They wanted to charge me with an arbitrary foreign exchange rate, and I complained, they reduced that rate.
They also charge 20 USD for 'tips' which I think is a bit excessive based on the service ocassions and that we provided tips to the bellboy too. They should inform you before and not at check out which to me is really bad taste.
The shower flow is very soft and there was no hot water , but they fixed it right away (20 min)
The rate was not cheap at all and included only "continental breakfast" which is bread and fruit to your room.

All in all, just ok, would rate this resort as a 4 star in class and service, the service is good, the staff is friendly but nothing spectacular.

I visited this nice hotel in Acapulco. The "Casita" was super nice but the breakfast wasn´t. Any warm food (some eggs pls) and the coffee was cold at the time and discovered it. Please, think in some other way to bring this food to the room.

Room Tip: Ask for Casitas with private pool...

Simply the best:

This Hotel has it all, built on a mountain, with more than 200 private villas overlooking the pacific ocean and acapulco bay. Once a hotel where only the richest and most famouse could afford to stay, is now affoardable but still remains with the same exclusive service as in the old days. A glance of the design of the 70 th the hotel is just amazingly located. The exclusive beach club " la concha" is free from beach sellers and so private and exclusive with a nice restaurant on the rocks.

The sunset bar is on top with a view to sea the most spectacular sunsets haveing margarita along.

For us this hotel remains thes best of the best ! We always book a villa with private pool spacouse enough for our family of 4.

Room Tip: With kids you are not allowed to book the higher located villas. We like 347 and 273 nice view and l...

If you are tired of the same type of square-built hotels that are similar in most beach destinations, Las Brisas Hotel will definitely be a different and great experience. I would start by the service, all the staff is very kind and ready to help with a smile. The views from most rooms (or casitas) are just impressive and show you how beautiful Acapulco is, and how it once was one of the most famous destination in the world visited by Hollywood stars and royalty. One more positive thing about how the hotel is distributed is the privacy, in most rooms or villas you can basically spend the whole day without seen other tourists by getting room service and enjoying your private room and sunset!

Since this is a vacation spot and not a work-hotel you will struggle getting decent internet in your room and might have wait some time for the pink jeeps (internal taxis) that get you around the resort, which is located along various hills. also in order to get to the beach club you have to take at least two different internal vehicles which might take some time. so not a place for people in a rush.

The weak spot at the restaurant is probably the breakfast buffet, it is really not that impressive and has a lack of healthy options besides plain fruit. The lunch at the Beach Club is good. However rather overpriced.

when visiting this resort you have to think of how this has been one of the most traditional hotels in Acapulco and it wasn't thought to be environment-friendly since you have to get a jeep everywhere and use it for almost everything but it is an experience, you won't forget.

If you are concern with violence, this place is very safe and unless you are looking for trouble all of Acapulco's tourist areas will be perfectly safe for you

Room Tip: Try to get the room that faces the bay of Acapulco, those get the best views

Las Brisas is a beautiful resort ,the service from the ever attentive staff was second to none !
The lovely atsmophere was consistent nothing was a problem for any staff member .

The casitas are so cute like something out of a movie spotlessly clean and the private pool was just amazing and private it was ! We stayed for 8 days as part of our honeymoon and it was just perfect ...we ate everyday in the resort and found the food to be delicious in all .
We visited the sunset bar most nights and each night had better sunsets than the previous night hard to believe but true !
As we are not big breakfast people we enjoyed the coffee pastries and fruit which was put in our entrance cupboard to get when we woke up a lovely little touch which we personally loved no disturbance ....
The jeeps that take you around are just great they are there in seconds and it is always a pleasure for them to pick you up and bring you back to your casita great service ...
We had room service on several occasions on the terrace and the waiter came and set up the table for us and it was just perfect!
I loved being in that resort as it was just a delight

Any problems that we encountered or advice that we needed was promptly sorted with utter professionalism by all of the attentive staff ..Marianna , Eduardo & Dixie Elvira were of special help to us they were just so helpful in every way !, they arranged for us to do many things and helped us have a great honeymoon !
We look forward to our next trip next month with great anticipation and hope to continue visiting this little peace of Mexican heaven
