My favorite restaurant in Acapulco... only problem is that I have to remortgage the house every time I go.

“Wedding Drinks”
Reviewed April 29, 2014

The rehearsal dinner for a wedding was an open bar on the Zibu deck. Wow, what a view. Great appetizers, but.... weak margaritas.

“Tourist trap and pretentious”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

It is definitely not worth the price. The restaurant is very nice and service is good but the food is nowhere close to what you end up paying.... Don't dare choose the suggestions of the waiter or you'll end up with a hole in your pocket and an empty stomach. Taste wasn't so great either.

“A dining experience in every way!”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

One couple in our party had a rental car so we ended up at Zibu for dinner ThaiMex menu. Another OMG moment for all of us. Starting with the stairs, bathroom, bar, everything was spectacular and enchanting. The restaurant is in the hillside and the architecture made full impact of that. Although it is considered high end dinning my dish which was an oriental seafood delight with coriander and herbs and rice for which I would love a repeat experience, was very affordable.
Everyone was thrilled with their choice. The fresh chocolate mousse dessert is wort the wait!

“Spectacular view and interesting food - what's not to like?”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Zibu overlooks Marquez Bay beside Acapulco. The restaurant is multi-tiered, strapped to the hill side. If you drive, you'll need the valet parking, the entrance is right on the main road and there's no where to park. If you take a taxi or car service, they won't be able to wait around - just no room.

The restaurant itself is all open air, with water features and a lovely tropical style, but the view steals the show every time - Marquez Bay is a jewel.

The food is a thai/mexican fusion, the chilled cucumber soup was amazing! If you're a Pad Thai purist, Zibu's version isn't going to change your life - it's tasty, but hybrid. But everything was fresh and well prepared.
