Stopped in for lunch on a weekday with my wife. Upon entering the restaurant we both remarked, "This is not what I expected." The decor, while adequate, was unimpressive. Sadly so, was the menu and the food. We opted for a "Traditional" torta and a hamburger and fries. The Traditional was a roast beef sandwich on pita bread. It was accompanied by cole slaw. The burger was huge...at least 1/3 pounder and came with fries. Overall, the food was edible, but not overly impressive. As I ate the hamburger, I remarked that I could have gotten as good a burger, and for less money, at Carl's Jr. The fries were just OK, but they barely covered the bottom of the plate. When compared to better burger joints Red Robin, or Fuddrucker's in the U.S....Jac and Ray really comes up short.
The menu includes a variety of sandwiches and salads. As another reviewer commented, the prices are on the high side, especially considering that it's Mexico. Our lunch, including two sandwiches, two lemonades, tax, and tip came to a little over $20 USD.
I think this will probably be my one and only visit..
