“Excellent park”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

The park is on what used to be La Fundidora (smelting).
It has a point of the Santa Lucia boat ride, nice way to arrive from La Macro Plaza.
It has bicycle, running roads, exercise areas...
Nice place for a leisure stroll, the views include some of the fundidora hornos (furnaces), it has views to the cerros (mountains) that surround the park.
If you have many hours there is the recommended Horno 3 museum (1-3 hours), Casa de los Loros (parrots, monkeys, etc) and Parque Plaza Sesamo (half of the rides are wet)
Views at sunset are gorgeous.

“Interesting tour of Monterrey's heavy industry”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

This park is built on what used to be one of the largest steel mills in Mexico. It was shot down after protracted labour conflict in the 1970s and eventually taken over by the government and turned into a park and museum. The museum part is so-so but the park can be interesting for families with children. The museum seemed rather disorganized, without a logical or chronological order, and most of the historical information seemed to be from the perspective of former owners. Nothing about the workers who made the mill so profitable for decades. The restaurant at the museum seemed overpriced, so I did not risk eating there.

“This is an example of well spent tax payers money.”

Owesome place. Perfect for walking, skating, etc. This park is the end of a man-created river that has several fountain art pieces, paintings over it's stream. This river is Santa Lucia. the boat trip has a cost of 40 pesos round trip. you can stop at the edge of the river to drink one of the hand crafted beers. It goes up to Macroplaza. Arena Monterrey is inside the park. I stayed at the holiday inn inside the park as well. Best choice ever. You must include this in your bucket list.

“An amazing park ”
Reviewed January 3, 2014 via mobile

Fundidora Park is great, you should bring sunblock and comfortable shoes because the park is way too large and you will be walking a lot, it's cool to see how they include the steel industry with the nature.

At the end of Paseo de Santa Lucia, you can find the Parque Fundidora... an amazing structure with a great fancy restaurant at the top named "El Lingote"... great views, good to have a nice walk.
