Unfortunately it was cloudy and drizzly when we were there which stopped us enjoying what would have been a beautiful view. Perched above park on the side of a converted steel mill.
Camarones rellenos a must and creme brûlée to die for. International standard but not international prices.

Take the lift to this restaurant to enjoy old fashioned service, good food, good wine and a great ambiance. If you are lucky and it is not to windy dine on the outside terrace for great night time views of Monterrey. I love this restaurant.

My husband and I had dinner here recently and this was the best meal we had during our short weekend trip to Monterrey. We were staying at the nearby Holiday Inn and it was only a short 10 minute walk through the park to get to the resturant. We made reservations and space was limited, so our table was ont he outside terrace, which was very nice. Excellent views of the mountains, although it was a little warm (it was early June). The food was excellent. We ordered guacamole to start and I had the tuna, cooked very rare and my husband had the ribeye steak. We shared 2 desserts, the apple streudel and the chocolate crisp. The tuna was delicious and a generous portion. I wish it ahd come with some rice or other type of starchy side. The entire entree was just the tuna on a bed of lettuce for decoration and some diced mango. My husband's steak was a decent portion (he thought it could have been bigger based on US standards), however, the sides (mashed potatoes and veggies) were a little on the small side as far as the amount served. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend visiting El Lingote for a scenic, romantic dinner.

Excellent food and service. Nice little restaurant, with a very peculiar setting. The cappuccino mushroom soup (yes, soup!) is scrumptious. Pasta al pesto is very good, too.

Great location and view. Food was very good and it is a good alternative to Plaza Fiesta. If you want a quiet spot for a good dinner, El Lingote is a good choice.
