I know it was probably a bad idea to go to an Italian restaurant in Mexico, but my host suggested it. We were brought a basket of bread with butter and some type of hot chili sauce. The bread was dry, at first I thought it was toasted, it was so dry it crumbled. The butter had no taste, I mean no taste, really weird, never had anything like it. We ordered a pepporoni pizza and spaghetti Bolognese. The pizza dough is store bought and already cooked and the pepporoni was tasteless. The bolognese sauce was light brown looking and again, it was tasteless; even salt could not help it. I have to say that the spaghetti was cooked well. You would think we would stop, but figured they didn't make their desserts, so we could end on a good note. We had tiramisu for dessert; it was obviously bought frozen (no surprise), it was soggy, strong coffee, and an after taste of freezer burn. We din't finish any of our dishes and the cook told us (via the waiter) that "it is the way it should taste".
