We really enjoyed staying at this property. Alec was very friendly and accommodating. The setting is beautiful. Being able to bring our 4-legged friend along was much appreciated. His dogs, Linda and Manchas were great too. They will show you the way to the beach!

I should have written a review the first time my wife and I first stayed here last year. After our 2nd stay this last January, I really want to express what a charming and restful place Casa Rancho is. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. The owners are very nice and make you feel right at home. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and tastefully designed. You even get a huge iron key ( I can't recall the name they have for them) to lock you door. This little item is a great example of the Spanish charm the entire grounds have. We spent our days cooking and lounging by the pool drinking margaritas flavored with passion fruit that is there for the picking ( we asked first). So if you ever want to experience Mexico outside of the touristy scene, start here. You may never leave. We didn't want to. And be sure to say hello to Manchez and Linda, the best dogs in all of Mexico! Thanks Alec and Monica. We will be back.

The simple casita concept of having your own room and sharing a common kitchen is at its best here, especially if you appreciate the warmth of a good host and small details like the gorgeous gardens and the opportunity to enjoy quiet morning yoga on the water-view patio.
This is the real Mexico with desert roads, elbow room, and a crowing rooster every now and again -- in other words: a low maintenance desert getaway.
This is not for the snob at heart, the older rooms show just enough heartfelt wear and tear to be a real home, the newer rooms have great details, this is a place where you can kick up your feet and not worry when you track a little sand onto the patio, it'll be tidy again in no time.
The sheets and towels are just fine, mostly new and very clean actually, the dishes in the kitchen are nice and our group of nine cooked and ate well at the outdoor dining table where we also did art projects and had a few games of dominoes.
The rooms feel real, not a contrived Mexican getaway, this is an actual casa and if you take time to appreciate the textures and colors your heart will melt and your mind will relax. There are tiny touches of whimsy with art and design such as a hidden kitty face on a ceiling and dog paw prints on the patio - perfectly imperfect and homey .
The authentic palapa roofs are really beautiful as is the old woodwork and the heavy doors.
There is a quiet calm over the property, a really special feeling -- and yes, sometimes the neighbors dogs bark, but we're in their neighborhood now, so just relax and take in the warmth.
Hmmm...we're supposed to mention any complaints or suggestions...The only thing it lacked was a good martini shaker and our ability to stay another week or two! And yes, we'll be back.

“Great Value in a Beautiful, Peaceful and Somewhat Rural Setting on the Outskirts of Todos Santos”

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation and don't mind being "unplugged", this is the place. We enjoyed our stay in the casita, with a comfortable queen size bed, large bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower, roomy sitting area with TV/VCR (not sure whether they work or not) and dining area, full kitchen (including refrigerator, gas cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and bottled water) and a large covered porch with benches for reading, enjoying the garden/nature, or just relaxing. There is a lovely terrace overlooking a nice, sparkling clean salt water pool on the property, which is surrounded by lounge chairs, a bar table and stools. You can see the ocean from the terrace, and can even hear the waves if you listen carefully. . . And also a great place from which to view the stars at night (but you might want to bring a little flashlight along to find your way on the path). The property is off the beaten path, and requires travel on very bumpy dirt roads for a short distance. If you can't live without WiFi, there is a lovely cafe/coffee shop called La Esquina just down the road that offers free WiFi, along with a beautiful outdoor garden/courtyard setting.

Beautiful place to stay. Had all of the amenities necessary. Alec was helpful to learning easier ways to get to local attractions. A bit of a challenge to find from the center of town. Highly recommend making sure you travel to the spot in the day- far easier to find since the town gets quite dark at night. Great spot.

Relaxed, comfortable, with a great kitchen and communal area. Small pool. A bit of a hike from Todos Santos, but we caught a lift with Alec twice. Fantastic palapa for sunset views, about 20 minute walk to the ocean. Quiet, comfortable bed, hot water, plenty of privacy. We'd definitely go back.

Two couples, in two rooms sharing the kitchen and outdoor dining area for 4 days. We had so much fun walking to the beach and into town or getting rides in the back of pick up trucks if a cab was not available. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the host wonderful. We have many good memories to recall. Thank you so much.
