We booked their "turtle encounter" excursion - it is a daylight (small) boat tour of the ocean where you can see turtles, go snorkeling, etc. When we checked in, Francesca asked if it would be okay if our guide "dropped a line" while we were out there. We agreed, not really thinking much about it. Well it ended up that it turned our excursion into an impromptu fishing trip as our guide let us reel in all of the fish that were pulling on the lines. We ended up with 5 Mahi and some other Tuna type relative. It was the highlight of our trip because it was so casual and "Gato" our guide was great - and we exchanged broken Spanish for broken English to communicate with each other. I thought it was great that they didn't have pier and the people would take turns pulling each other into the water and we loved the way we had to get back to shore - turning "doughnuts" in the ocean to build up speed and then racing towards the beach. The whole experience was amazing - felt like we were in "real" Mexico. We definitely want to come back and stay longer and experience the turtles (we never saw one in the ocean, but that was okay). GRACIAS!
