It's very difficult, if not impossible, to find restaurants that are open late in Todos Santos. Or restaurants that have more than 2 tables full. La Coronela was a welcome departure in that respect on a Saturday evening. The menu selection was quite varied with beef, fish and vegetarian items, service was very friendly. Cocktails and desserts were not impressive; we had ordered margaritas and mojitos, tres leches and flan. There was live reggae music and lots of diners. The artwork in the restaurant alone is worth a visit.

I give it 3 stars due to the cute outside patio, the food was not good at all. I would have much rather gone down the street to get tacos that were probably way better at about 1/4 of the price. We chose this place because the menu looked like good "fusion" type food and my mom liked the way the place looked.

We ordered:
1) smoked marlin quesadillas with Brie -- waaay too much cheese and the marlin was this odd bright red color, not the red smoke ring you get from a smoker but like an annato red.

2) Black bean soup -- completely and totally bland

3) Tortilla soup (aztec soup) -- okay, but tasted like canned

4) fish taco rolls -- they were fine but not traditional or that tasty

5) Hamburger -- overcooked and super bland

6) Focaccia sandwich -- this was actually pretty darn tasty. Oddly the non-Mexican dish was the only thing that tasted good.

I'd go, maybe get a beer, check out the garden, and take a pic of the "hotel california" (although i think this is the 3rd one i've seen claim to be real). Skip the food. Service was quite slow too.

On the unusual cool and rainy day for the Baja, a nice bowl of hot soup and Taco's hit the spot along with a wonderful beverage to further warm the soul. Service was excellent and at the end of lunch the rains stopped and the sun was shining. A must stop when visiting Todos Santos.

We visited this restaurant as part of a tour we took from our cruise ship which was docked in Cabo San Lucas. It is about a 1 1/2 hour trip up north from Cabo to get to Todos Santos, so if your willing to use up that amount of time, it's not a bad place to visit. Obviously this place is known for having shared it's name with the famous Eagle's song of the 70's, since that is apparently where they got it from. The mission they talk about in the song is just up the street from the restaurant and hotel.

Our entire group was given a traditional Mexican meal with hard shell and soft shell tacos, seasoned rice and the standard fare, including a beer or soda of your choice. All in all the food was quite good, even if they "Americanized" it for the tour group. We all enjoyed our meal along with the tour of the city. If for no other reason, you have to go there for the sake of the song.

They expect you to tip before even serving you... Not Good... And beside that, no one really cares about the clientes...
