Guaycura is a beautiful charming hotel centrally located. The friendly and accommodating staff made us feel "right at home" from the moment we checked in.
We loved our room (2nd floor) and the common areas in the hotel: particularly the roof top terrace. Great ambiance and a lovely way to end the day.
We'll be back!!

We love adventure travel and came to Guaycura fresh from camping on the beach for four days of whale watching. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to clean up and be pampered for a few days. One of our two second floor room balconies opened over the restaurant courtyard, affording us a private view of Flamenco dancing one of our nights there. The staff was attentive, the room comfortable, and the general charm of the hotel is first rate. Our larger balcony looked out over the oasis towards the sea. Aside from pampering (the spa massages are excellent) there is plenty to do in Todos Santos; mountain biking, hiking, birdwatching, fishing, turtle release viewing for the outdoorsy types, and beach, pool clubs, shopping, and wonderful restaurants for the resort goers. We had a great time and will be back.

Room Tip: I would choose and upstairs room with a balcony over looking the oasis towards the sea.

So happy we chose Guaycura. A charming historic inn yet fresh and newly constructed. Lobby and restaurant areas are tastefully decorated. Large well-appointed rooms have great beds, linens and large bathrooms. Ours, 202 had a patio. Attentive staff serve delicious food at breakfast and lunch - and the Rooftop bar is the best sunset spot in town. Easy walk to everything. Lovely.

We stayed here after a week of grey whale photography in Bahía Magdalena. Very well appointed, and generally nice rooms.

However, our room, 104, was probably the most interesting we have ever stayed in. It is on the first floor, with windows facing the dining area, and bathroom windows the main hall. Shocked some evening diners by opening the curtains and staring at them and their entrées. Great room if you are an exhibitionist!

Our room was a suite located on the bottom floor. The room was big and decorated nicely...problem...noise. You could hear the traffic, restaurant, children screaming (7am). Our balcony also looked onto dirty rooftops, not pleasant. The rooftop was lovely, except the pool was freezing. Our kids couldn't swim. Also, the "beach club" is non existent. They looked at us like we were crazy when we asked to go there. Stay somewhere else if want a good nights sleep and some beach time.

We apologize for any disturbance caused by neighborhood children or traffic. We are located downtown, and what goes on outside is not in our control. Unfortunately, you visited while the pool heater was being serviced. Our new beach club will be open within the next two months. There is a letter placed in each room explaining that it's under construction. Thank you for your visit and your comments.

What a delightful inn - beautifully restored, friendly and capable staff and well appointed accommodations. The lobby area is spacious, art filled and conducive to relaxing. Do not miss out on the roof top terrace - beautiful sunsets, delicious tapas and a jazz combo played both Friday and Saturday evenings. The breakfast offerings served in the main floor dining area were varied and some items reflected Mexican flavours. On the Sunday morning of our stay, Todos Santos featured a charity Art Walk - some interesting galleries and workshops were open to the public. A definite destination for our future visits to this area.

Room Tip: Try for the second floor room, away from the corner as traffic noise could be a problem.

I generally agree with the many positive reviews -- the room was big, clean, well-appointed (though not luxurious) and comfortable. Great shower. Charming lobby area, and nice restaurant for breakfast (which was all we had here). Will note two quirks: One is that our room was right next to the restaurant, which provided some unwelcome auditory input at times. Also, there is a live jazz performance going on at the rooftop bar, which I can easily hear in my room two floors down; I'm ready to go do bed and wish the music would stop. Also, it is odd that we found no little shampoos, body washes, etc. in the bathroom. No big deal, but a little striking for a fairly upscale hotel like this. Overall, I still give this very nice hotel 4 out of 5 -- but if you're sensitive to noise, be forewarned that it could be an issue, depending on where your room is.
