“Genuinely delicious local food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

There is nothing fancy or "touristy" about Miguels. A local told us that Miguels is a local favorite, and was he right! Plain and unpretentious, just good food at amazing prices. A super cold beer was $2 and a combo meal of Chile Rellano, Chicken//Avacado Enchilada, and Cheese Quesadilla with rice and refried beans was only $9. The chile rellano was excellent, the cheese quesadilla was good, and the chicken/avacado enchilada was to die for.

“not much value”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

i can get twice as much for half the price from the little restaurants in pescarero and los cerritos that are not listed here on tripadvisor then miguils..i recommend 3 other restaurants..gregereo and alisha's la grando on the entrance to cerritos road, the gardinea on the hwy accross from the blanket factory and oso negro in pescaredo..

6 of us went to miguils last night and 2 of us got the special dorado vera cruise..well i think there was a total of 1/8th of a pound of dorado with no veggies as i was expecting..just a tomato sause with beans and rice..with 2 bears and tip..200 pesos each..lots of street noise to boot..no bueno

i took my buddy for lunch at the gardinia restaurant last week and had 3 giant corvina fish tacos each with a salad and home made salsa and chips..2 beers..140 pesos with tip!..same with the la grando..70 pesos for anything on the dinner menu..we had dorado tacos..i must have had 6..with huge fresh salads and chips and salsa..wonderfull!!...and NO FLIES!!

“The place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

Lovely spot well runned by nice people; being vegetarian I had several choices (not easy at all, especially in Baja), while my friends enjoyed great meat/ fish dishes.
Lovely cocktails and fresh lemonade.
Definitely my best choice in town

“The "welcome" said it all”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

We walked into this small, dirt floored restaurant on the advice of our B&B hosts. Two steps into the place and Miguel came over to shake our hands and welcome us. WOW. Even though we were first timers, I knew that this kind of welcome meant that we were being treated as special guests.
We each had beer and rellenos. Lobster and Shrimp rellenos. I thought the lobster was a little chewy but my spouse was really happy with his shrimp rellenos. Flan was delicious.
Small place - dirt floor means the tables are not really level - but a good dining experience. Apparently full of locals at noon; lots of gringos for supper.

“Great margaritas, mediocre food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

The margaritas here are amazing, and definitely sneak up on you after a few. The food was just mediocre. The guac was great. Everything else, including their self-proclaimed world's greatest chile rellenos were pretty flavorless and bland. But great atmosphere and nice service.
