“Glorious sunset”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This place is really cool, worth the drive away from Los Cabos and the big resort hotels. A place for a nice dinner by the sea, to see the sunset.

“Beach for surfing, whale watching. No free parking.”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The beach is fantastic and beautiful. The wave was good for surfing, not so much for snorkeling. The sand is smooth and clean. Stay for sunset if you can, and keep your eyes on the water. You'll see whales spouting and jumping in the water.

It is a public beach, but right in front of the beach, there is an area which is blocked off that says private parking. Fee is 50 peso or $5 USD.

If you are driving down from Todos Santos, there is no clear sign where to turn. You look for marker 64 and about 30+ feet after that, there is a big dirt road. Turn in there and follow you logical sense to the beach.

While you are there, I suggest you also visit Hacienda Cerritos Resort. Once you are on the dirt road, you'll see the sign on how to get there. The resort is breathtaking, go sit by the pool and order a drink and watch the sunset. This place is so beautiful that you will not want to leave!

“Amazing Day”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Booked surf lessons (65$) at the Costa Azul hut. Included an hour lesson, rash guard, and surfboard rental (all day if you want).
Amazing place to learn to surf, as there is no coral, and very minimal rocks.
Great beach, great atmosphere.

Bathroom at the beach club can be used by everyone even though it says "exclusive"

“Loved Cerritos!!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

We loved this place! I think I can say the day we made it out to Cerritos was a highlight of our trip. The beach is lovely and perfect for playing in the waves. Really cool vibe and a must do when in the area! If you pay the $5 parking, you can use it towards your bill.

“Great beach for the whole family”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

This is one of the few beaches where the undertow isn't dangerous. Very shallow beach slope with (usually) nice waves. It can be as crowded or as desolate as you want just by walking a few hundred meters from the concentration of people near the rocky point.

There are surf boards, body boards, umbrella and other rentals on the beach.

There is also some very overpriced beachside eating and drinking.

The turnoff is not well marked and the road is beat up enough that if you aren't familiar with local roads you might not believe this is the right road. Ask someone in Pescadero, where to turn. (When we went, the turnoff onto a steep dirt road was marked with unlettered flags on either side. We also recognized the hotel on the beach in the distance.)
