We did not stay in the hotel but were guests at the restaurant... the view was nice as well as the food but that was where the positives ended. We were part of a party that was quoted $40 pp for food and wine. Food was served buffet style and was tasty except that they ran out of food before all the guests had had a chance to eat. The servers and manager knew that there was not enough food but they made no attempt to make more/ bring out more food. When it came time to pay, the bill jumped from $40pp to $65pp. The reason for the increase was that our original reservation was for 40 people when only 35 showed up...and the kitchen had made enough food for 40 (not really). Last time I checked, an extra 5 people (or $200) doesn't work out to be an extra $875 (35 people * extra $25). Nevertheless, the manager/ owner Juerg explained to us in a now classic line "I have no interest in over-charging you". Well, actually you do because you just did.
Like I said this was just in the restaurant so I can't speak for the hotel itself...but this left such a terrible taste in our mouths that we will not be back.
