“Stop searching for a place to stay in Todos Santos-This is THE BEST!”
Reviewed December 3, 2010

If you've never been to the Todos Santos area, a warning: a car is a must around here. You can't just park yourself down and enjoy all the area offers, you have to get around and a set of wheels are ideal, if not necessary, for full enjoyment. There really are no beachfront properties close to town and the Casablanca is just a short stroll down to Playa La Poza and then you realize that the lack of beachfront hotels and resorts is what makes this place so special. The beaches are spectacular and majestic in scope and beauty. From the Casablanca's perch, you have wonderful views of the Pacific in the distant West and the rooftops of Todos Santos and the Sierra Laguna Mountains to the East. The Casablanca itself is set within the Barrio La Poza. Your neighbours include beautiful homes, locally and foreign owned, and shabbier residences, but no need to worry- This is not the "Mexico" you read about in newspapers in North America. This is small town living with all the charm long gone in most places in Canada and the U.S. It's just a warning so you know what to expect, and you are not disappointed, as you are driving along an unpaved road to what seems like nowhere in particular. Keep going, the final destination is well worth the effort-Casablanca Bed and Breakfast. From the moment you see your home for the next several days, you will know you made the right choice. And just wait til you meet Isabel and Gabriel; innkeepers at the start, and close friends by the end of your stay. They are the real jewel of this place. You think you may know good service. You may have stayed at luxury 5-star hotels and resorts, as i have, and expect good service when travelling but Isabel and Gabriel take it to a whole other level. They are wonderful people first, and great innkeepers second.
The Casablanca itself is very beautiful, with lush gardens and beautiful vistas. We stayed in the Tomillo Suite and enjoyed it fully. Great shower with sunlight filtering in the mornings and wonderful views to the mountains from the bedroom and hammock. A great night's sleep is guaranteed on the very comfortable bed and you wont miss the lack of A/C as the evenings can get quite cool; perfect for a restful night's slumber.
Well, how long have i gone without mentioning the food? I've been keeping you in suspense. You wont be disappointed, everything you've read and heard of the wonderful food prepared by Isabel is all true. She takes care of all the minor details, which to quote Mies van der Rohe-"God is in the details", makes it a true event. Bring the cameras to the breakfast table, you don't want to miss it. The presentation is spectacular with fine china and french silver, at breakfast! But don't get the wrong idea, it is not stuffy at all, just decadent in a relaxed way. We got to watch humpback whales spouting in the distance from the breakfast table while enjoying a homemade breakfast. What can be better than that? And by homemade, i mean everything made from scratch with only quality ingredients. You can see Isabel going at it in the kitchen and realize the passion they have for running the Casablanca.
Do yourself a favour and make your way there and say a "Buenos Dias!" for us, Ellina and Alessandro in Toronto,Canada. We can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

I loved staying here and when I need something calming to think about, I close my eyes and picture Casablanca B&B. Our room, the Tomillo Suite, was large and very comfortable. The rooms are located in a building separate from the main house, but we initially felt nervous that we were essentially houseguests in the house of people we really didn't know. Within only a few hours, we felt like we were long-lost family. Isabel and Gabriel know exactly how to appear just when you need them and then *poof* you you are in your own, private oasis. The only mistake I think we made when we stayed there was to have Isabel cook for us the first night we were there. She is such an excellent, inspired chef that I didn't want to eat anywhere else the rest of our stay. We tried other restaurants around town that came highly recommended, but we always ended up saying "That was really good, but Isabel's food - no matter what she cooks - is better..." Incidentally, the bed in the Tomillo Suite was hands down the most comfortable bed I have slept in, save my own.

I can't add much more than what the other reviewers have had to say. Wonderful B&B where you have privacy, in a separate building from the innkeepers, yet they are very attentive in making sure you enjoy your visit to the area. They act almost as your private concierge and chef. Isabel is a wonderful chef, and Gabriel the attentive waiter. They are wonderful. One day Gabriel even joined me fishing on the ocean with local commercial fishermen - what a great day. It was like the Old Man and the Sea, we used just our hands some line a lure and hook. We caught 7 fish in a couple hours (mahi mahi and mackerel) and had a marlin on the line but we lost it - since it was so strong and our uncalloused hands too soft. Bring leather gloves! Ask him to go with you, he loves to fish, and its the same price for the boat no matter how many go - $35 per hour. I think you could fit 3 or 4 people easily. When we got back to the house, Isabel cooked up a couple of the fish for a wonderful dinner. She is an amazing chef. My wife was sick for much of our honeymoon but she still enjoyed herself, sleeping a lot in the very relaxing, quiet, and wonderful Tomillo Suite, one of only two rooms there. We had the whole property to ourselves for most of our 8 night stay there. We look forward to returning someday. Rent an SUV for this area though, the roads off the highway are very rough.

I had a wonderful and exciting time staying at Casa Blanca B&B Todos Santos, is a cozy beautiful and quiet place where you really can relax with beautiful views. The owners Isabel and Gabriel are so nice and kind that I really felt at home. You can't bealive the delicious breakfast Isabel serves every day with fresh juice, fresh fruit all kinds, hot bread homemade, yougurt, granola, jam, and excellent food, the best I ever tried, even than the better french cuisine made at home too by Isabel.
Attention I received from Isabel and Gabriel made me feel good.
I am sure I'll go back to todos Santos and stay at Casa Blanca B&B and visit all around.
Isabel and Gabriel's attention is outstanding and food is more than delicious.

The experience with Isabel and Gabriel was unforgetable. They were perfect hosts, and remarkable people. We have stayed at many a B&B in our day, but this epreice was unmatched. The view from Casablanca is beautiful, and the rooms cozy and inviting. Breakfast was amazing, and unparalleled in both its taste and quantity. The hosts are incredible; it muyst be said that these are people who genuinely enjoy their craft, and their guests. You feel like family.

Todos Santos is a quaint town, and for those who desire a relaxing vacation away from the speed and bustle of Cabo, this is the place. The nearby beaches are amazing, and almost unoccupied. If driving, be sure of your directions - many streets are unmarked, and directions are most frequently give in reference to local landmarks (i.e. 'Turn left 2 blocks after the Pemex station').

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing in locale with limited commercial inturruption, this si the place.

We visit Todo Santos every year. Many accommodations there are over priced and it is hard to sleep with barking dogs, roosters and truck traffic...BUT go to Casa Blanca and leave all that behind. Isabel and Gabriel and wonderful hosts and they serve the best gourmet breakfast ever. Dog friendly too. Just two spacious and private rooms with great views. Minutes to the beach and town. Our favorite Todo Santos B&B. Pedro

If you've ever aspired to purchase/operate a bed-and-breakfast, you'd be wise to spend some time with Isabel and Gabriel at their "Casablanca B&B" -- they have mastered the vocation!
Or if, like me, you're simply looking to experience the beauty of Baja Sur while avoiding the mega-resorts dominating the Cabo coastline, I can't imagine you'll find a better place to stay than this hidden gem located a short walk from the ocean in the town of Todos Santos. My girlfriend was initially reluctant about a sidetrip from Cabo -- the idea of a one-hour commute through rural Mexico to a town she'd never heard of wasn't immediately appealing. This all changed, however, when we arrived at the beautiful property, where Isabel welcomed us with fresh-squeezed lemonade (with basil from her garden!) and fruit.
During our four night stay, we were served four of the most amazing (and filling!) breakfasts we've ever experienced. When in the main house (where breakfast is served), I couldn't help but notice that the shelves were filled with well-worn culinary books and magazines!
Moreover, it's impossible to exaggerate the level of warmth exuded by Isabel and Gabriel -- they clearly have a genuine passion for hospitality!
