The atmosphere is great and the taste of food and drinks is simple delicious. We were given a tour of the small shop and given a history of their business. Would have love to be in the area more time to taste other of their dishes

Six of us lady friends went to TJ for the day last Wed. and our first stop was La Cabana del Artista. We had so much fun getting to know the three kind and young guys that were running the place, Max, Bruno and Giovanni. The coffee they served us was the best from the Chapas state, absolutely delicious. The food was prepared with so much care. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The homemade bread with Herb de Provence was to die for. The place is so cozy and so welcoming and the flowers, the colors, the old piano + welcoming staff had us started on a very good note. We will definitely go back next time... BTW, the provided map is perfect and it costs 50 pesos per taxi to go from the border to the restaurant which is in the Colonia Castillo area. I printed a copy of the map just to make sure and we had no problems...

Great Place, go there if your are in TJ.Max the owner and Bruno the young Argentinian Chef have created a different type of restaurant. Located in La Colonia del Castillo not hard to find if you use Google maps. Approximately 10 minutes from AV Revolucion in down town TJ. No menu, daily creations by chef. Excellent Pasta dishes, no doubt, best pasta in TJ. Restaurant is small and rustic but with a lot of flavor. It feels as if its your own kitchen but someone else is doing the cooking.!! Max is a coffee connoisseur serving the best coffee from the Chiapas region. He has no beer wine license but if you bring your own bottle I am sure that will work. Different from anything we have experienced in TJ. Go Max...!!!

5 stars for this coffee place in Colonia Castillo. The food was amazing salmon and pasta. The bread delicious along with the coffee and dessert I had at the end. Overall a great experience and the owners treated me very good explaining everything about coffee from Chiapas. A must visit if you happen to be in Tijuana.

Nice little place, hard to get but worth it. Their specialty is Chiapas food and coffee and their service is overwhelming. Been there 2 times for breakfast. I reccomend to try the eggs over a tostada bolw, cocoa cold milk drink, french press coffee and finish with delicious icecream. Small place, cute decoration, little hot
