This is a clean safe hotel to stay at. Room service is excellent and location is great. They have a shuttle available for getting around. If you want a quiet room get an inside room, can be a little dark though. Beware of Ana's Salon next door. Totally changed the prices on me even when they are posted in the window - mediocre work.
I am happy with the hotel and have stayed here three times. Good internet hook-up with computers available downstairs if you do not want to drag your laptop along.

Hotel Ticuan is best deal in San diego -- because it isn't in the city, but actually located across the border, only a short drive or walk.
I rented the Master suite twice, which is only about $85/night, but includes a king-sized bed and nice jacuzzi. Everything in the room appears to be clean, fresh, and almost new. The pictures on the website are accurate.

Bedding is OK too, though not really "luxurious". Sheets are slightly undersized, and somewhat worn -- but still much superior to other hotels in the local area. And, for the price, certainly better than anything within driving distance, North of the border.

Yea, you can't really avoid the Party noise that is happening right beside the hotel, but it is at reasonable levels, in my opinion. My room(s) were sufficiently insulated to muffle most of the sound.

Anyway, a room like this would easily go for over $200 in San Diego. So, I'm not complaining.

The front desk attendants were nice, although one girl (heavy-set) appeared be 'sad' or at least not very friendly whenever I saw her at the reception desk. I believe that receptionists should at least "act" as if they want to help you -- rather than make a customer feel as if they're being inconvenienced by asking a question. But, this happens at most hotels.

Otherwise the hotel staff is respectful and, in most cases, attempts to accomodate you as much as possible.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. .. .

Room Tip: Stay in the master suite. More space, comfort, and just plain fun in the jacuzzi. Especially if yo...

My wife and I relied on the Trip Advisor rating for Hotel Ticuan in deciding to stay there last Saturday night. Big mistake. The hotel is next door to a popular nightclub called Las Pulgas. The thumping music and yelling DJ were clearly audible in my room on the 5th floor. The vibrations actually caused the windows, TV and nightstands to shake. This continued until 6 a.m. To say I didn't get much sleep is putting it mildly.

Room Tip: If you must stay at Hotel Ticuan, best of luck and God Bless! Insist on a room as far away as possi...

Located at 8th and Revolution, this is a great hotel in the heart of the "party zone." The upside is you can walk to many bars along Revolution. It is safe, clean and well maintained. The downside is you will hear the party until 4am most nights. And while there are some excellent rooms, there are also some with no external windows and some on the 5th floor that sound like they sit right on top of a bar.
The bathrooms are nice. The beds are ok. The general amenities are nice. The lobby restaurant is passable. My rating of this hotel as "very good" is relative. Compared to hotels on the other side of the border in the Gaslamp district, it would be "average" at best. But for south of the border, and in particular, for being in the heart of the Revolution party, this hotel earns a "very good."

Room Tip: Get a room on the 7th floor, pay the extra for a suite, and make sure it faces Calle 8, away from th...

Been staying here for the past three years (almost weekly) and like the place a lot!! Showers are GREAT, restaurant food is great, service is excellent and staff is friendly and polite. Location is close to the US Border and close to shops and entertainment on Revolution Blvd. Has an authentic Mexican flavor as opposed too the normal US business hotel like the Marriott. Master suites are a good value with in room jacuzzi baths, and all rooms are very reasonably priced. I give it a thumbs up!!!

Room Tip: Get a room as far away from the Las Pulgas nightclub as possible, as the thumping of the excessively...

This is a very nice hotel to stay at when you are in Tijuana Centro. The people that work at the hotel are very nice and friendly. The restaurant and bar are excellent as the food is very good and not expensive. The bar is real nice with plenty of TVs for sports. The drink prices are very inexpensive but also very tasty. The rooms are very clean and have very nice amenities, large TVs, safes nice furniture, pictures, marble. They have the best water pressure and the nicest showers bar none. They are best in the area by far, nobody has the bathrooms better than the Ticuan in the area. It is always my first choice to stay there. If you drive a car, they have there own parking structure so you have free save parking. The suites are also very large and very nice with the jacuzzi tubs.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good rooms
