My daughter and I were in Tijuana for medical reasons and were looking for something low key to do so I could get some post-surgery walking in. We found this on Google and learned it was not far from where we were staying. We were especially lucky because there was some sort of festival going on outside the museum as well as all of the great exhibits around inside.
I'm not art buff but it was interesting to see the paintings, sculptures and such on one level but our favorite exhibit was the Mayan exh. in the Botanical Gardens. Such a beautiful walk! The history is rich and detailed and we loved learning so much about Tijuana's/Mexico's beginnings. There was an Asian exhibit as well. Unfortunately, most of the descriptions are in Spanish with no translation so unless you have a basic understanding of Spanish, you'll find it hard to read/learn. But it's still nice walking through it. We understood a good deal of it so we were fortunate.
The aquarium is very small and dingy/dark compared to US aquariums but it was pretty and had some nice components. I felt like the tanks could have been cleaner or water clearer but I admit I know nothing about keeping salt water fish and perhaps it is supposed to be that way. Either way, the staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our 3 hours there tremendously. We will be coming back.

I love the architecture of this Cultural Center. It just makes it so quirky. I recently went with my college class to watch a documentary of the Wild Life in Africa. We very much enjoyed it.

We go here regularly. I recommend going to their website or following on FB. You will get regular updates of any events that are coming up as there are many. Most are usually free. This is a very nice cultural center but is used for so many things. I definitely recommend enjoying a film on the dome/globe screen.

It's ver nice with architecture that was built 35 years ago, but the look is still charming. Nice work of art, great space, and design.

This place has many interesting free and outdoor events year-round. Sometimes with free concerts.

Some of the shows are great as well (example: Black Swan - ballet) and others.

Check their website for scheduled events and shows.

Great place to visit with family.
