Apparently it tends to be empty. It's huge and only part of the museum half has a permanent exhibit. Then again it's super cheap.
Good book stores (in Spanish). The IMAX movie theater (the ball building) seems interesting.

This is very educational to go with your kids because they get so intrigued about things that they see every day and do not apreciate is a good place to visit.
I crossed the border on foot for an experience in Tijuana and Ensenada. Before I headed to Ensenada I wanted to visit the museum and see what it offered. Understand that I like history and muses do thought this was well done. Most, if not all, signs are in English and Spanish. Offers and history of Baja and of Mexico from the early Indians to the present day. I learned a lot. Replicas of ships, churches and more.
There was wonderful National Geographic photographic exhibtion on which was very well done. Plus the Botanical gardens are worth a walk around, not so much the aquarium. My only problem is that I wish there were more signs in English!
Otherwise for the money it is well worth the visit.
Every time i have gone, i always wish to have time to do it more often. I could be on IMAX, theater or exposition, its alway a great experience.
Throughly enjoyed our visit. I love to read all the stuff but it was so interesting. We look forward to our nexted visitors so we get to go again.
