The valet parking at Komasa is convenient, and then men out front will open the front door of the restaurant for you in a welcoming manner. We sat at one of the teppanyaki grills. Unlike in the United States, there are no combination meals with, say, sesame chicken and New York Steak. The meal does not include soup or salad, but vegetables and fried frice [made with ground beef] are included. The white wine list [I only drink white wine with Japanese food] is mostly from LA Cetto and Santo Tomas [there is one Monte Xanic], so there are no surprises. The icy LA Cetto Chardonnay was properly and promptly served in a silver ice bucket. The waiters Omar and Yoshi were pleasant and efficient. I chose the New York Steak, medium rare, which was a large portion [although several of the pieces were ringed in fat---the fat should all be trimmed off. My friend did not like his shrimp---they looked sad and meager and he said he did not enjoy them The green tea ice cream is refreshing for dessert and unlike at Benihana of Tokyo, you are not run out and banished from the grill if you want to linger over the last spoonfuls of the cooling ice cream.
