“Tijuana classic!”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

This legendary eatery is located on the main drag and is famous for being the birthplace of the word renowned Caesar Salad. Walls and ceiling richly decorated in wood, a checkered floor and old style service make you feel like royalty. The Caesar Salad expertly prepared tableside completes the experience. When in Tijuana, Caesar's is a required stop for lunch or dinner!

“Prohibition time nostalgy”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Lousy food in a retro parlor where the only living legend is the Caesr's Salad said to be created here around the 1930's by the Candinis brothers. It has tthree different dinning rooms sorrounding the hotel named alike. Could be called an Italian restaurant with a Mexican accent. Food is accessible pricewise, service limited and closes early... too early. The neighborhood is a little tough to walk around. Looks like a weekend gringo pleasing place to bring back tolife the Prohibition times. Drive a little further and you get dozens or nice places to eat. But if fixed to the borderline culture... well, not very many options aside McDonald's, La Placita taco parlor and the Jai Alai court deli.
The envoriment is appealing. It's Ok for a lazy afternoon. Tons of vendors chasing around.

“I wouldn't recommended”
Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

We were there because it was recommended to us but the food was priced to high for its quality, the pasta was bland, and the milanesa was chewy!! The waiter was good until it was time to pay, he took 20 min with a mistake he had made on our account, he kept on giving us different amounts, my whole party of 5the just wanted to leave, none of us were satisfied with the food. Im never going back

“The place where the Caesar's Salad started.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Yes. This is the place where the Caesar's Salad was created. This place (Hotel and Restaurant) started back in the '30s, right on the famous Revolution Street.
Not only the Caesar's Salad is prepared by your table, but it is the BEST I've had.
Portions size are above average and they are all served at the right temperature. We were a party of 8, and all what we ordered from appetizers, soups and entrees were very good. They have a big an long bar were you can have your favorite beer, spirit or liquer.
Service is excelente and valet parking is very convinient too.
Definetely will return.

“An Oasis on Avenida Revolucion”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

If only there were more places like this on Revolucion. The ambiance is very nice, kind of 50's retro. The service is efficient and friendly. Valet parking makes it very convenient. But the food is the star. Good size portions of delicious food. They bring bread with a wonderful garlic tapenade. Try the Tartare (it should really be called Carpachio). Super thin sliced surrounded by mushrooms and tiny gherkins to compliment the taste. Beef Wellington is excellent. And of course there's nothing like having a Caesar Salad in the place where it was invented 90 or so years ago. It's fabulous. Overall not as expensive as you would think.
