I dropped in for lunch and a few beers and stayed for hours. Great view of the ocean, volleyball courts, big screen TV's, good music... The owners are also very friendly!

“Baja bound travelers-- must stop !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

If you drive in Mexico along highway 1 in Baja California, the signs can be confusing. Even more confusing, figuring out which signs go with which building and are they open? Nice if you are an American tourist, to find a place with a surfing decor and other Americans.
Fortunately there is a huge well-lit sign for Paradise Cove Tiki Bar. Turn right at it, off the coast road, even though you may not see the front entrance to the restaurant (high fence). The back is expansive, plenty of parking, a great view of the ocean, volleyball net, fire pits for cozy evening drinks.
There is a welcoming staff, plenty of great cocktails and a friendly ambiance--TVs everywhere to watch your games from any vantage point in the bar or restaurant.
Doggies welcome too as long as yours doesn't mind getting sniffed over by the three outside that think the parking lot belongs to them or the inside French bulldog that comes and goes discreetly. Outdoor deck dining with live music on weekends, under the largest palapa in Rosarito.
And now . . .. . the FOOD ! It's not just a nice change from Mexican food, it's great ! Hawaiian-Asian fusion, exquisitely prepared with fresh ingredients. My appetizer was the ahi tostada, a little fried square of a won ton, piled with chunks of ahi (raw tuna) with special sauce. If you like sushi, you will love this. Their teriyaki sauce is homemade, rich with brown sugar, ginger, garlic and pineapple juice, a great topping for chicken or beef. The beef, by the way, cut into little strips was very tender and mediuim rare, as good as any high quality steak. Decent coconut shrimp, a nice mojito. The smells coming out of their open kitchen are delightful. Hawaiian pork BBQ looked great too. Homemade macaroni salad and sticky rice, the Hawaiian way. And burgers American style with quality ingredients for people who just want a burger.
The restaurant has a pool table off to the side and a little alcove-"library" with plenty of surfing magazines on the coffee table in front of a comfy couch and bookshelves. Plenty to do, great prices for drinks, appetizers and entrees, and close to Las Rocas, K-38, Club Marena and Rosarito Beach. Good luck guys, glad you built this great place.
