We did the Wild Loreto catamaran tour of the islands. Everything about the tour exceeded our expectations. My initial thought going in was, "Well another day on a boring tour seeing something I think I SHOULD see." But NO. Great staff, fun Pug, entertaining Captain Ward and yummy food, The snorkeling was way better than I expected, and our cute guide Said went out of his way to ensure that those not familiar with snorkeling felt safe. Swimmers and non-swimmers alike had a relaxing and beautiful day exploring Loreto. We have been around the world and snorkeled in many locations. The Wild Loreto staff was top notch.

Thank you Brian, David, Wade, and Bridgett
Your island hopping and snorkeling tour was one of the highlights of our trip, I can't thank you enough for helping my wife with only her 2nd try at snorkling and Bridgett thank you for sitting with me on the deck while I didn't feel well.
We will look you up the next time we are in Loreto!

We just got back from a long weekend at Villa del Palmar Loreto. Villa del Palmar uses Wild Loreto for their airport transfers and we pre-booked and paid this through the resort. The transportation service was perfect and super friendly. I also had pre-booked our Coronado Island Nature/snorkel tour via Wild Loreto's website prior to our arrival. There was a Wild Loreto desk and very helpful Wild Loreto Representative in the hotel lobby that confirmed our tour pick up times and gave us our Marine Nature Preserve bracelts etc. The Wild Loreto Bus picked us up at 9:00 AM on June 22 at the hotel lobby with several other guests taking all sorts of tours that day. We were all dropped off at the Santa Fe Hotel (cute little hotel) in the town of Loreto and from there a taxi took us and the other 2 ladies down to the Marina. Really nice Golf Front Malecon and nice little Marina. Our fun guide Ramses greeted us on arrival and took us to our Panga boat "Crackerjack" for the day. It was great to only be a group of 4 people. As soon as we got on board we were offered sodas & beer and this continued all day. Ramses was very nice and gave us tons of information on fauna, flora, geology and sealife of this part of the Sea of Cortez as well as the Islands. We did a complete circle around Coronado Island and he showed us all nooks and bird nesting areas of this volcanic island. Lots of red and blue footed Boobie Birds, Frigate Birds & Pelicans. We also got to observe Sea Lions and the friendly Pelican followed us around all day. We ended up on a beautiful white sand beach with the most amazing crystal clear turqoise water. The Golf of Mexico/Sea of Cortez is a very come Ocean and the water has very good visbility and is very rich of sea life. Right now it's peak fishing season for Yellow Tail and Snapper.
We snorkeled for at least an hour and Ramses brought up all sorts of interesting little sea creatures for us to touch and hold. I fell in love with the Blowfish. He had a really cute face. Lots of colorful fish, sea stars, clams etc. After snorkeling we still had time to enjoy the beach and swim and we had our sandwiches which were included at a table under a nice Palapa in the shade. It would have been nice if they could have added something Mexican like chips and salsa for lunch. There are a lot of bees at this beach so if you are allergic to stings be aware. They are not aggressive but lots of them and you have to watch before you drink out of a can or bite into your food. Unfortunately, we did not get to see any dolphins, whales or turtles which many times people on this tour will see. But it was an extremly calm day and they were probably further out to sea that day. The ride back to Loreto Marina was fun and the views of the coastline and impressive Sierra Gigante Mountains and small islands all over was very beautiful. Ramses even stopped to pick up some trash floating in the ocean which we thought was really cool. He told us how much they truly care about their Environment there. We are planing on a future trip to Loreto and stay longer so we can do the Island Hopping Tour to the other islands as well as their Eco & Mission tours on land with Wild Loreto for sure. Ramses was great guide and Wild Loreto does a really good job. Highly recomended! The whole Loreto area is Baja's best and a really nice nature destination. And the locals are very welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to come back.

We recently stayed in Loreto, Mexico at the Villa del Palmar Resort. While there the tour company Wild Loreto was available to us. Before we left for LA I already had correspondence with Lynn for airport pickup. As planned she was there with excellent service and a big smile. Who wouldn't with the surroundings! We went on a tour to the historic San Javier Mission and Coronado Island with Roberto. We learned about history, saw mammals (seals and humpbacks) and blue-footed boobies! Fantastic, knowledgeable guide with humor and a love of his job, country and helping visitors. We learned so much more with a guides who respect the delicate environment they protect. I would highly recommend the company whose fees are very reasonable, choices varied and service excellent!

I went on two different Wild Loreto tours a few weeks ago during my stay at Villa del Palmar. We did the trip up to the San Javier mission and also a boat/snorkel/beach tour of Isla Coronado. Our guide Roberto and our driver Fausto, were wonderful! They were knowledgable about the history, culture, and flora/fauna of the area, and really fun to be with. I highly recommend their tours.
