El Tiburon Casitas proved to be a great choice of places to stay in Loreto! My cousin and I were so pleased. The location offered great access to the entirety of the town, including the beach. The casita itself was fully furnished and very clean. The premise was intimate and personal and we felt safe at all times!

We hear the mgmt will be offering outdoor movies in the near future projected on the wall behind the pool!

We recommend riding bikes to get around town (El Tiburon can furnish those). We recommend El Rey and McLulu's for authentic tacos...and Mediterraneano for fine dining...and the personalized snorkeling trips that El Tiburon offers are unbeatable.

We'd return in an instant.

This intimate property was fabulous for its location and set up for those staying in town for business or a summer vacation or sabatical, etc. The discounted monthly rates were a great value and the amenities in the studio type casita met all of our needs., especially since we did a lot of cooking in our room. Everything we needed was in walking distance and we felt totally secure. The new pool and patio area was immaculate, the pool water crystal clear with no chlorine odor. With only 4 units open this was indeed a quit and relaxing place to be! Our diving adventures were easy as Rafaeel has a dive shop just around the corner and everything was well planned out and the Sea of Cortez is truly the World's Aquarium. Check out this new property soon before you can't get in!!

This awsome American family run property is the ideal location in Loreto for everything. It's walking distance to everything you need from the Marina for fishing, snorkeling, beachcombing, to restaraunts and markets just a few minutes away. The hosts, Jack & Liz are the NICEST people! They have created a really beautiful place for anyone to enjoy. I was delighted to see the beautiful new pool on their website www.eltiburoncasitas.com today, as they were just breaking ground when I was there in April 2009.
My Buddy & I slayed the awesome 25lb. brute yellowtail, and I LOST (BOOHOO) a 50+lb. roosterfish after a 10 minute epic battle! I LOVE LORETO!
This is such a sleepy little town, light years away from swine flu and drug wars! People leave their keys in their unlocked car here!

We stayed in the apartment and just had the greatest time. They have plenty of american DVDs to watch if you are so inclined!

I HIGHLY recommend this place as everything is new and IMPECCABLY upkept.
The sea offers chances at seeing dolphins, whales, Manta rays that jump, and lots of other cool stuff.

My husband and I were lucky to be the first travelers ever to stay in these brand new beautiful casitas. Rooms are impeccably clean and included a kitchen, fridge, safe hot/cold drinking water, a beautiful tiled bathroom, and an extra comfy king or queen bed, and a leather couch perfect for reading and lounging on-see photo. Management is American. The family is super nice, and their employees are also very kind and helpful with anything you may need. A really cute, sweet dog named Lucy lives there. We adopted her for the week. It is a really safe location and there is a big gate in front so you are always locked in. Unlike many other cities in Mexico, we felt 100% safe in Loreto. El Tiburon is ideally located one block from the ocean, one block from the dive shop, and two blocks from down town. You can leave your car at the casita behind the locked gate, and take a leisurely walk to anywhere you need to go. We loved being able to go car-less and walk downtown in the evenings for a beverage and some yummy fish tacos. Try Tio Lupe for fish tacos. They're not on the menu, but just ask. Cafe Ole has great breakfasts!

If you want central location to the beach, Mission district, restaurants, etc, this was ideal.
Our rental car was safe behind the closed gates, and as it turned out we really did not need the car at all. A local tour guide took us over to the Pacific side for a magical day of whale watching. On return our room had a super comfortable bed, high pressure shower and all the kitchen appliances needed for a week of cooking a lot of our own meals. The rooms are brand new so they still smell new and the linens and towels were better than expected. Our hosts made sure we had everything without being intrusive- This is a small, quiet place, not a bustling party location. We booked a return stay in Oct, hoping the pool will be done by then!

After 2010 , all major construction was completed. And Now in 2013. even all the minor improvements are finished. You will be pleasantly surprised at what we offer now! And the Pool is fabulous!

We had a great stay at this new ultraclean and spacious little property just up from the Marina. The fishing Captain on staff (Nacho) spoke some English and we had a great day catching Dorado. Nacho cleaned our fish and bagged it up, then we froze it in our casita's large freezer. Owners Liz and Jack made sure we had all we needed in the well appointed kitchen. We liked how quiet the place was because on previous trips to Loreto we strayed on the Malecon and it was too noisy at night with the street traffic. Also this place had killer showers and a pillowtop queen bed which was a first for us in Baja! The great price offset the lack of landscaping , but it looks as if that will rectified soon and a pool is in the process of being built. Highly recommended if you do not need the Hilton style of vacation and want to cook some of your own meals.
