I ate there twice while recently in La Paz and had some of the best cooked grilled fish ever. I'm not sure what they marinated it (swordfish and tuna) in but it was delicious and grilled to perfection. I also had delicious salads and cold beer. Inexpensive.

Mc-Fishers one of our favorite places in La Paz to eat. The camerones, as well as all seafood served are fresh and delicious everyway Mirsha fixes it. His salad is crisp & refreshing, made with a combination of lettuce & fruit slices served with a tasteful light vinegerette dressing. Their Limon Con Agua Mineral is the best in town, they serve pop, beer & red wine as well. The staff is friendly, mostly Spanish speaking who really enjoy learning English, owner & head cook Mirsha Macklis does speak & understands quite abit of English. Located on Morelos this outdoor venue with concrete floor, painted picnic tables & colorful murals on the walls is a fun place to spend an afternoon or evening with friends. A trip into La Paz without Mirsha's Camerones Imperial Tacos is like a day without sunshine.

The fish here is amazingly good. I had the tostada de ceviche de camaron as a starter..,very good and larger than I expected. Then we had the filete de dia as a lunch entree. It came with beans, rice, small salad and tortillas. We really lucked out on the fish that day. It was "jurel", which is like a local yellowtail, and was prepared perfectly.

The place is up a few blocks from the water and while the shaded patio area is nice, there are no views.

The prices are low for the quality and the service is pretty good.

We've visited La Paz several times & McFishers is our favorite restaurant there. Since it's a little off the beaten path it hasn't been overrun with gringos, but the locals sure know to frequent it, which is always a good sign.

It has a casual, friendly atmosphere. The waiters & all the staff are always helpful & make the experience a pleasure.

Everything is fresh & the portions very generous. It certainly won't break your budget, but it will fill you up & have you wanting to come back again & again!

Don't forget to ask about the special catch of the day, especially if Mirsha is cooking. A fresh fish steak marinated & grilled over the mesquite fire, served with fresh steamed vegetables & an amazing salad heaping with an wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables & lightly tossed in their house dressing. The meal is always outrageously delicious.

We've tried a wide variety of items on their menu & have always been pleasantly surprised by the unique combinations. My all time favorite is the seafood relleno. So good I dream about it. A large chili stuffed to bursting with a melange of seafood: shrimp, scallops, calamari, white fish & cheese, then topped with a corn, veggies & topped with a special creamy chiptole chilli sauce. Yum! This plus an ice a cold beer & I'm in heaven!!

Oh and don't forget to try the coconut shrimp! OMG!! Probably the best I've ever had!!! Huge succulent shrimp fresh from the sea coated with coconut & fried to crispy perfection served over a fresh green salad & accompanied by a smooth, creamy coconut cream sauce.

All dishes come with a selection of salsas & condiments. You've gotta try it & guaranteed you come away hungry or disappointed.

The owner certainly takes pride in his cooking. The waiter was also very friendly. If you order a larger meal generally the quality of food was very good. However, we also went for tacos and they were small and tasteless. Basically, the restaurant, in our opinion, was inconsistent in their food delivery.
