Not a fabulous building but nice. Worth a look. Not difficult to park for awhile. Good photo op for recording visit to la Paz.

“Nice quick visit”

Worth a pop in to see the chandeliers and the art. The virgin de Guadalupe was very nice. Worth a ten minute stop!

“Lovely historic church”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

La Paz Cathedral is a small gem in downtown La Paz. Beautifully decorated and serene, it's a restful place and well worth a visit. Peaceful atmosphere and a long history, nicely explained in the entry signs in both Spanish and English.

“History, art, and culture without pomp”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

The building is not fancy but it is amazing; I was able to find something new in the structure every time I looked at it. The inside is great--a house of worship, plain and simple, but with heartfelt stained glass and altars that evoked deep feelings in us. The church is a real happening place--we witnessed concerts, masses, and a very community-oriented tradition of "La loteria" (more like bingo) outside on the grounds. The bells are beautiful and have enhanced our month in La Paz.

“BUILT in the 1700's!”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

What a beautiful cathedral, one of the best on the baja peninsula....everytime we visit LaPaz we go here and stand in awe. A must see while visiting LaPaz , and cathedral adjoins the old zocalo and band stand. Historic La Paz at it's best!!!
