nice beach, especially for families as shallow water extends far from beach. Vendor provides beach umbrellas, lounge and regular chairs for 150-180 pesos per day. also kayak rentals available by hour. limited food and beverages available

Balandra is the most beautiful beach in La Paz! It is also a great place to take children since the water level is low and they can wade in it. Also, rent the kayaks ($12 USD/Hr) because you can go to the other side of bay to explore! They have about 10 palapas for shade and a food truck with snacks and drinks. This is a must see if you are in La Paz!

Bay here is very flat and shallow, giving water a beautiful turquoise color. Water was warm, and you could walk out probably a quarter of a mile and water was still not waist deep.

Balandra is a beautiful bay offering shallow waters, white sandy beaches and a beautiful mountainous backdrop! This is a remote location so there is no where to really buy food, remember to bring snacks with you! The downside is that this is often a VERY busy location and on the weekends can be extremely overcrowded!

As we rounded the corner of road to the parking lot with a single vendor we were stunned at the color and beauty of this bay. As advised by others there are no services so bring all that you need with you. We gathered our things and walked down to and out into the crystal clear and warm waters. Schools of fish were swimming around our feet. We walked at least 100 yards off shore and were standing in water only over our knees. We found a spot around the side of the bay to set our towels and bathe and explore the beach. We had a fantastic day at this beach mid week, not crowded we had a whole side of beach to ourselves relaxed and enjoyed the day. Worth the 20 minute drive from town. But do come prepared with water, snacks etc as there are no services.
