“one of the best seafood”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Surprisingly this place had one of the best oyster cocktail I have ever had, anywhere. Everything we ordered was great. Even the Clamato was perfect. Perfect amount of vodka, juice was perfect, perfect amount of saltiness of clam, celery was clean and fresh. I must say, the states have a lot of room for improvement. This was the real deal. The restaurant was clean, service was great, food was awesome. What more do you want.

“Very Fresh, Very Good.....”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We were wandering around Ensenada on foot and wanted to get something to eat that wasn't an on the tourist strip. We asked a fella in a shop what he would recommend for lunch (where he eats lunch) and he suggested this restaurant. The decor was basic (almost like a cafeteria), but the place was full of locals....no tourists, so I suspected we might be on to something! The seafood was fresh. The salsa fantastic. The handmade tortillas warm and wonderful. The service was excellent. We felt very welcome even though we were clearly the only tourists there. We enjoyed listening to some Mariachi that were entertaining some of the other (local) tables. It was a bit more than we would normally be willing to spend for a lunch back home, but we didn't think it was overpriced given 3 out of 4 of us ordered seafood. The bacon and cheese wrapped shrimp was amazing, but very very rich (we probably could have shared this as two adults and it would have been good.) We also thought the garlic shrimp was very, very good. The rice and salad sides were fresh but just average, however.

“Just Average”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

This is a very large well-lighted clean restaurant just of the Main Drag. Not much business the night we ate, but the service was prompt and the food served hot. Full bar, and the Pina Colad was tasty. My wife's Carne Asada was good, as was the Flan for desert. My breaded shrimp was only OK. Sice dishes were average. Mariachis traveled thru and played. Puzzling that this restaurant is ranked in the Top Ten in Ensenada; we would probably not bother to eat here again.
