Very well maintained campground. Can't say that enough.Choice of cabins or tents. We went with a group of 60 plus people & stayed in the cabins that have a beautiful view of the resort. They have something for every age, so everyone was happy. Horseback riding, ATV & hiking trails, swimming pools or just enjoying nature.I saw several blue birds! Been a long time since I have seen them.
They have tent stations that sell Mexican candies, Tosti Locos and fresh coconut bowls. Their little store carries items you may have forgotten, but they also sell freshly made tortillas & Mexican bread. Little expensive, but good to have on site.Downtown is only a short drive away if you need items. The Calimax Market is perfect for any need. We are planning to make this resort a family tradition. Was that great!

“Great Family Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

We are so glad we had the chance to visit Las Canadas. The campground is very well run and staffed. The bathrooms are plentiful and clean. The grounds are well maintained and there was even a water truck wetting the dirt roads to keep the dust down. We did find the pools a bit crowded on a Sunday afternoon, but with 90 degree weather, that's expected. The paddle boats were fun-and included in the entrance fee ($10 per person). There were lots of picnic tables available even with a fairly large crowd. Plenty of food and drink was available. We enjoyed a whole grilled chicken with fries, tortillas and salsa for eleven dollars.

The canopy tour was the highlight of the trip. The cost is a bargain at about $28 per person. The guides were helpful and kept an eye on everyone. The course was challenging, but the whole family-from 10 yrs to 68 yrs-really enjoyed the experience. This would not be appropriate for someone that has mobility problems as crawling through the hanging tunnel and walking uphill could pose a problem.

“best family park ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

this place is amazing... lots of space for family/tent campers. awesome pool for the little ones... a literal water park for the 3 to 6 crowd. lots of people on staff to help, easy to identify. facilities are clean clean clean, little lake to fish, paddle boats on it are great, may scare fish away, but all is fun for young children.. then they have zip lines for older kids, best bang for the buck on that as there are a series of zip lines to the finish. great fun

The zip lines and bridges were fabulous and awesome. First time we were really scare but when we tried, it was so fun. It was a well oiled machine. It was completely safe. Will do this again if have time to come back here again! The tour is quite cheap too.
