“Perfect Resort with Accomodating and Friendly Staff”
Reviewed February 26, 2006

Thank you to you and your staff for hosting our Fraternity Formal this weekend.

The management and staff accommodated to our every need and provided for an unparalleled weekend.

Once we arrived back in Los Angeles, I heard nothing but the most positive comments from every single member in our group. Everyone was extremely impressed with your resort as well as the friendly and accommodating staff. Also, thank you for organizing our banquet on Saturday night. Everything from dinner to dancing went very smoothly.

I have stayed and many hotels in Ensenada and Estero Beach Resort is by far the best of them all. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a vacation in Ensenada!

Just spent two days with my wife at the Estero Beach Hotel, January 25 and 25. The service at the hotel was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly and very professional.

We booked one of their winter packages ($199 three days and two nights) and were given a beach front cottage. The cottage was very nice and clean, the bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a hotel and the view to the ocean from our patio was absolutely amazing. The pool area is beautiful and were able to get an umbrella to shade us all day. Everywhere we went we were greeted by pleasant employees.

The restaurant was excellent, great seafood, service and wine, it was difficult to fault.

We enjoyed our trip so much we are already thinking about going again this summer. It will be tough to stay somewhere else in Ensenada, this place is definitely a small glimpse of paradise!

My husband and I, along with our two children, recently visited the Estero Beach Hotel from 12/27 to 12/31. We came here 18 years ago on our honeymoon, then we returned about eight years ago for our anniversary. Now we returned for our 18th wedding anniversary with our children. We have enjoyed all three of our visits. The rooms in the Maya section of the hotel are beautiful and very spacious, and the view to the ocean from our room was absolutely breathtaking!. The grounds are lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. The food was great. We particularly enjoyed the new addition and pool area.

The thing that impressed me the most about the hotel over others I have visited are the attention to detail, from the restaurant to the well landscaped and manicured beaches, to the controlled family atmosphere that was evident everywhere I went. Even the fruit basket that was placed inside our room when we arrived was a surprise, and by the way it was beautifully arranged. Upon check out the lovely young lady at the desk took our reservation for August, can't wait to return!...God willing.

We have been touring from Australia for six weeks and prebooked some accommodation but decided for our week in Mexico we would chance it as we went. I did a fair bit of study on the internet before we arrived and had pinpointed some possible places to stay, Estero beach being one of them - I did send them an email about a month prior to our arrival about their 3 day packages but did not get a response back.

We arrived in Ensenada after taking the bus from Tijuana and my husband had a look at the list of possilibities and chose Estero Beach. We took a cab ride out (not that close to the centre of Ensenada so we took a bit of a risk not being prebooked - it was a weekday), and we were in luck. I showed them the flier I downloaded from the internet and they said we had to book that package over the internet so we did not qualify for the special rates. When I explained I had sent an email but did not get a response, they agreed to give us the Tikal room at the special rate. We were on foot with our luggage and found it quite a walk from the main reception to the resort building (and we do not object to walking - we walk everyday). We thought it would have been nice if they had buggies or something to assist guests that are on foot, as it is quite a walk when you have a fair bit of stuff to carry.

We had some laundry to do and we noticed on the map there was a guest laundry and we were told to just walk around from the resort to the rv park where the laundry was located. What they neglected to tell us is that it was closed, so we were a little disappointed after gathering all of our laundry up and walking around to find a big padlock on the laundry door (nice walk though!). We ended up enquirying at the gift shop if housekeeping did laundry, and it was all done within three hours (we were very grateful).

The room was okay and comfortable, but the VIEW was spectacular. We were told it was a partial ocean view, but when we walked out onto the balcony, we thought we were in heaven. The room overlooked the pool and the ocean, and we immediately knew we were going to have a great time there. As it was just the beginning of their off-season, and mid week, it was nice and quiet (except for the workmen doing some repairs around the resort). We got some towels and spent the rest of the day down by the pool on the chairs, overlooking the ocean. The sunsets here are beautiful.

The restaurant and bar and nicely located right on the water and it was a nice spot to relax. The service at the bar area was very ordinary, but inside the restaurant they were very friendly. The food was nothing to rave about - quite average.

The day we arrived the shop was open so we were able to buy whatever drinks we needed, but it was closed the next day. We went to the bar to buy some coke to take back to our room, but said they could not sell it to us. We had to buy open cups over the bar and take it back to the room - as I said, the service at the bar.............!

We left the resort to travel down to San Felipe for a couple of days and decided on our way back we would like to stay at Estero again, but sadly it was booked out for the weekend.

We loved our stay at Estero, even though the service overall was lacking.

My husband is from Mexico and my children were born there and we have traveled extensively throughout the country. Estero Beach unfortunately was one of our worst experiences. It wasn't because the rooms are old, there are no phones or air conditioning in the rooms or because in general the hotel needs a facelift. This we would have accepted had the service and treatment of our guests been civil. Let me explain. We have friends in Ensenada who we invited to meet us at the hotel to go out to dinner. They came, greeted our children and sat by the pool to wait for us. In about 5 minutes they were hounded by the pool staff and grounds people that they had to leave the premise. They informed the staff that they were waiting for us to get ready to go out but were forced to leave the pool area and made to feel like intruders. I have never been so embarassed in my life! Even when I went to talk to them about this they insisted that our guests had to leave the area and could only wait inside our room! What kind of hotel is this...where is their sensitivity, their marketing sense as well. These friends are established residents of Ensenada and recommended Estero to us as they often go to the restaurant nearby. After this experience neither we nor they will be recommending this hotel to anyone. We went to the Coral y Marina where our guests were greeted with grace, asked if they wanted a cocktail, and overall treated as human beings! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this HOTEL at ALL.
