Estero Beach Resort is great place place a few miles south of Ensenada, Mx. The resort is beautiful and well maintained....we were very pleased. Our room faced the pool with a clear view to the ocean. No A/C but that was not a problem with the ocean breeze and very mild temperatures. We ate breakfast at the restaurant each day...the Sunday brunch was awesome. Omelets and Gorditas cooked fresh on an ocean side grill!!! The hotel staff were great and very helpful......thank you.

The sea lions or seals accross the bay every morning were really cool.

Just off the property there were a few great places to eat. Marios has a full menu with a superb Carne Asada meal and very tender filets. Tacos el Pablano has hand made tortillas for the tacos, tender beef, and some hot salsa.......perfecto!!! These restaurant were no more than a mile from the main entrance to Estero.

A must see is La Bufadora....it is a short drive south of the hotel and well worh the visit. Great fish tacos at Los Panchos.

The beach for the "Estero Beach Resort" left a little to be desired. It was 50 or 60 yards wide and maybe 20 yards deep during high tide. The poolside bar and store were not opened after the weekend.

My wife and I stayed June 20th and 21st. We arrived in San Diego on June 20th and drove down to Tecate and through the Guadalupe Wine Valley on the way down to Ensenada. A very pretty drive and you avoid any Tijuana border crossing hassles. We arrived at the hotel around 5:00 PM. Our room was ready and everything was in-line with our reservation. We walked the beautiful grounds and enjoyed the flora and view. We stayed in one of the ocean view cottages. The rooms are simple but offer privacy and an awesome back porch with easy access to everything the resort has to offer. The ocean view cottages are the only rooms with A/C. I strongly recommend the ocean view cottages for couples or those wanting space away from children. We ate at the restuarant on several occasions. The sushi was great. The pool was awesome. It is a big pool, with a swim up bar, and filled with sea water. There is plenty of room to spread out. You can swim and enjoy and ocean/mountain view. It is also easy to bring a small cooler to the pool area and save some money. There is an ice machine near the pool area. I would recommend you bring your own snack, beer, water to save money. There is a Wal-Mart about 10 minutes away where you can stock up. But, they do not take American money but, do take Visa/MC. After the bar/restaurant closes around 10/11, you will be happy you stocked up with food and alcohol. They also have outdoor ping-pong tables. Beer is $3.00. Mixed drinks $5.00 and up.

Well it all started with a "clip"......My husband brought home this little clipping about Estero Beach Resort from one of those travel magazines. We went online and looked it up, and it seemed like a nice enough place to go for a weekend getaway. So next day we called to get more info...(they have a "619" area code) and the young lady at the reservation desk (Irma) was very nice and pleasant and offered us a "promo package" which consisted of 3 nights, 4 days with free breakfast each day. So we booked. Upon arriving we had no problems at front desk. We were very surprised at how nicely decorated and how clean the rooms are. The bed was very comfortable, and yes they do have phones and room service! The pool area was very clean and lots of lounge chairs!! The grounds are spotless, the view is spectacular!! We were greatly entertained with the seals sunning right across the way on the other side of the "estero". Bikes are for rent to cruise the beach walk, which you will get a nice workout!! The restaurant has wonderful food, believe it or not, the sushi bar was fantastic, very fresh!! We were greatly pleased with the service, everyone was super and very friendly!! We came home super relaxed and thrilled that we found this little clip. We will be booking another getaway in September!

My girlfriends and I spent 2 nights at Estero Beach Resort. It's perfect. The pool is nice, the restaurant nice, all the employees were absolutely wonderful. Make sure to book a massage through the hotel, it was fantastic!!!

It's a little bit out of the downtown area, about a 10-15 minutes ride. However it's nice and secluded.

I highly recommed it.

This place is a paradise hidden just behind the main road. Getting there can't be any simpler or safer any time of the day or night. You travel through Ensenada and a couple of miles south, you turn right at the last traffic light (they could use a sign or a billboard right there). When you pass through the main gate, a whole new world opens up in front of you that invites you to relax and transform your mood long before you reach the front desk down the long boulevard driveway. Well, it keeps getting better as you are greeted by a friendly bi-lingual staff. The place is family owned and operated and it shows. The accommodations are good to average but the location, scenery, and one-of-a-kind view right at the mouth of the Estuary is breathtaking. Sit down on the restaurant's patio, enjoy a glass of wine and a cigar and watch the Punta Banda range across the estuary and the ocean. The sunsets alone are worth the money. I stay there frequently and keep going back

I am the owner of an off-road motorcycle tour company called Trailboss Tours. We have been conducting tours to Ensenada for the past Fourteen years and Estero Beach Resort is our favorite Hotel by far. We stay at Estero almost every week and have never had a problem. The staff is always warm and welcoming to all of our guests and caters to all of our needs. The property is beautiful, we have guests from all over the world come on tours and all of them wish they could stay at Estero Beach Resort just a little longer. The rooms are comfortable and the pool area is impressive. There is also a great restaurant and bar located on the property that we eat at several times a week, the food is delicious and offers a wide menu for every appetite. The most important thing about Estero Beach Resort is that we always feel safe there and we rest assured that our guests and employees will have a wonderful and safe stay at Estero Beach Resort.

The staff at Estero Beach Resort have always been very helpful and hospitable. I stay there twice a year on business and have never had a negative experience. One thing I appreciate is that the entire staff speaks English very well, which keeps the frustration with communicating at bay. The grounds are always well-kept and the pool, hot tub and restaurant are all great!
My only complaint is that the beds aren't the most comfortable...but I still enjoy staying there.
